Significance of black butterfly-an omen or just a myth

This morning I saw a black butterfly sitting/attached to our livingroom window screen. I immediately showed it to my toddler as I know she hasn't seen a real live butterfly before. So, I was telling her what it was and showing her how beautiful it was. Then it suddenly flap its wings several times and even slowly as if it seemed to show off it's beauty to my child. Then my daughter covered the window with the curtain. Well, I don't know if she doesn't like it. So I let her go and went to my other business as usual. I couldn't help thinking if there was a real significance of such black butterflies appearing in your house. I don't actually believe much in superstitions but I can't help to think, though. I have a love one who is ill, and I don't want ever to associate something like that. Can people enlighten me on this? Thank you and have a nice day.

i don't believe much in superstitions... and i don't really think you should either... i think supertitions are just results of the vast capability of a humans imaginations... what's a black butterfly got to do with a sick love one... it acually doesn't have any connection at all.. i think you should just forget about it and don' think of it too much because it might just bother you a lot...

I respect your opinion and thank you for easing off my wories. I also don't believe much in superstiotions, like that of black cat crossing your path, that to me has totally nothing of significance. However, I've had some experiences before with butterflies. Maybe just a coincidence, I don't know.
