How in the world did you get $15,000 in debt? Was it just using credit cards for what you wanted, medical bills, for your education, or what? You need to contact a legitimate debt consolidation company for advice, not get a loan from some stranger online. A stranger might charge you a very high interest rate and you'd end up being worse off financially than you are now.

I agree with you claudia413. But I can tell you this much. My dad has been fighting in court for over a year now with a debt collector and on Monday Oct. 23, 2006, He won his case. Now it wasn't easy and he had to go to court six times in a year, and each time it was resceduled because the debt collector couldn't produce the proper documents. His case was over a credit card company. He also filed a law suit against this law firm for harms and damages that was brought up on him thru the credit reporting agencies and loss of work going to court, and the judge will be hearing it on Nov 27. Keep in mind, My dad isn't a Attorney and he whipped this one in court because he followed the proper procedures with the FDCPA. If you want to learn it also, go to www.geocities.com/hope_2768.
