Can you recommend a good novel and a good author?

If you're into reading romance novels you should definitely check out Diana Gabaldon. She written a series, I believe the first book in the series in Outlander. The story is part romance, part adventure, part sci-fi (time travel is involved), part history. It's a wonderful love story, exciting and well worth it.

Too bad. Well, not everybody has the same interests right? But I highly recommend reading because it's no fuss form of relaxation. At least, for me.

I've alway loved Victoria Holt. You'll find her books in the romance section but I think her books are more "gothic suspense" or "romantic suspense" though they don't use those terms anymore. Anyway, the stories usually take place in a victorian time about a young woman who is surrounded by sinister plots and there is usually a handsome figure who she can't resist but can't trust at the same time. I highly recommend them. (And no these are not trashy highly sexed romance novels. They are actually very intelligently written!)

I love reading books but I'm not into romance novels. But you may want to try Nicholas Sparks (The Notebook), Erich Seagal (Love Story and the Class--not a romance book) and Jeffrey Archer (Kane & Abel). If you want to try other books, try children's books by Neil Gaiman.
