Objection in MyLot? Hahaha... I think we all did.
Just when we thought we posted a good discussion and expected to get good responses, some were disagree and objected to what we posted.
Simply put, when I started a discussion and there is an objection, I just take it and leave it as it is. I think it's just a discussion and the person who responded reserve the right to agree or disagree. It works for the person who posted the discussion as well. After all, it's a discussion.
So, how did you handle it?

It is not easy to please everyone when you post a discussion, therefore it is ok for me if responders object to the discussion. I welcome all responses from all angles, pro and con. It is just like us humans, some are short and some tall. We can not have all humans as tall as each other. lol

I started a discussion about the pet names we have for our significant others, and a very young man objected quite strongly about my not having the proper respect. I explained that this was a term of affection that my husband enjoyed. Several very nice people came into the discussion after that and explained a few other things, and I never heard from him again!LOL!

Hi alamode. Thanks for the response.
I hope we can get positive response that can build and grow the community rather than negative response that not going anywhere. Nice people are welcome, whether they are pros or cons as long they behave in a good manner. :) Hehehehe..

Don't you feel that one should have dicipline while participating in aforum like this where people from all over the world participate. The enforcement of discpline is done through rules and regulations. It is better for all of us to strictly follow the rules, otherwise, everyday people here will have problem, if they things are left like that. Many uninteresting and undesirable discussion topics are removed. I feel that it is a must to have these rules.

I dont take it too personally, I mean its very much expected that we all have differnces in how we see things because of many reasons like, culture, country and many more to mention.
When the comment is too offensive of course I just dont mind it and just thank the person who made such remark. Though are good people here on mylot, there are also rude ones who are like looking for a good fight.

I get some weird, irrelevant and sometimes very arrogant responses for some of my discussions.i just ignore commenting on those responses and never even rate them as negative..I dont take it seriously as i just skip it and keep going with those good ones..In a global forum like mylot where we are starting discussion for a debate its possible that we get all sorts of responses from people..Like you say everyone has right to express what they feel..
we could also see some hot debates in mylot when some one doesnt agree to the post and reply in a different manner..i have found some time mylotters get frustrated and post discussions based on this..as to know the reason..I feel its better to overlook and keep moving..

Agree my friend subathra. Just keep moving and keep on posting right? :) Simple enough and just talk what you have in mind. :)
Thanks. And here is a + sign again for your response.
(I love to rate + lately... Hehehehe... But off course you deserved it for your good response.)
