1. Their feedback may be 'private' or 0 (they may actually registered on that day just to scam you).
2. They may hijack another guy's account and use it (the evidence of this is that if you check their feedback, the last date any product have been bought would be far back - maybe 6 months).
3. they offer outrageous amount.
4. They sometimes send you a fake mail about them being a businessman or a mum that wants to buy a product and send to their wards in west africa (or they use the term 'abroad').
5. They sometimes offer to deal with you outside of ebay after winning the bid, of course).
6. The most dangerous aspect of them is that they may fake an ebay mail to you ordering you to send the product or your account may be deleted (it's a false email). don't act. report the mail to ebay instead.
7. most of them are Nigerians (embarrased to say that as i'm a nigerian myself, living in the UK).
Watch out and don't be greedy. these guys look out for the greedy. sell your product honestly and be content with what you make out of it.

Thank you for that important information being a seller I've also looked at other products to purchase frpm other ebayers and the first thing I look for is positive feedbacks and location.

I had someone bid over £2000 for a mobile phone i was selling! They asked for it to be sent to Nigeria. Luckily i new it was a scam and i reported it to ebay and they refunded my fees and i was able to relist it.
If a bid is too good to be true, its usually a scam!
My advice if your selling a mobile phone from the UK is to only allow bidders from UK.
