Its not every month i spend on clothes but atleast once in every three months i go for shopping clothes for myself..so it may be 5-8 set of new dresses every year.like you i always feel that i dont have enough and need more dresses and sometimes i tell my parents that i dont have anything new to wear while attending some function..i have some clothes which i dont prefer to wear after the first time and later give it to some of cousin sisters who like it more..

I spend very little money on clothes. I only buy a minimum every year. Generally, about 2 t-shirts, 2 pair of jeans, a sweater, a cap and a jacket a year (I'm not counting the underwear or socks).

Wow! I'm jealous! I wish I had that kind of extra cash to spend on clothes! I am a stay at home mom so we are a one income household. Any "extra" money usually goes on our baby girl! I would say on average I spend about 1 hundred, 2 hundred at the MOST a YEAR on clothes! PurpleTeddyBear.

I wonder whether you come from Shanghai because in my opinion Shanghai people pay attention to the clothes. I don't care much more about it. As long as I feel comfortable, it's already the best clothes for me. And therefore I don't have to buy new clothes so often. Usually I will spend much more for the digital stuff.

Brace yourself when I answered this same question to my brother after he saw all the clothes hanging in my closet he almost had a heart attack and was at a loss of words lol. now what I am about to tell you this is a combined total between me and my 2 sons, we usualy spend form 750 to 1,000 a month and thataverages out to 11,500 to 12,200 a year, which is about a fourth of the average americans yearly income so I can understand there shcok and awe, and you might be wondering how we could rack up such a bill, well you would have to see it to understand it, the most inexpensive thing I have ever bought to wear was a pair of 15$ socks if that any indication. You might say that were spoiled or whatever but this is just who we are and how we live and spend our money. Not to sound rune or snooty but when your pulling in well over 6 figures money is no object when you can learn to live within your means.

I am jealous! I am lucky to even spend $50 a year on anything new of clothing...most the time it for panties and a new bra and mybe a cheap out fit..more so for around the house casue I don't have the money to even buy a new dress up clothes to look good..Most of my clothes I own about 95% of them are hand me downs. From my sister, my mom ,and my friends... I did get 3 new tops for my Birthday from my Grandma...I was excited to get them and wear them...Happy shopping to you!
