Yesterday my car breaks down. That's ok because my husband has a truck. We can get by with just the truck. No problem. I take my precious car the body shop and they tell me it will cost over $500 to fix it. Well, I guess I'm going to have to be without a car for a month. Still, no big deal, we can get through this. Today my husband heads off to work. On his way home he calls me and says he can't get the truck started. He finally gets it home, and we have just found out that it will cost us at least $300 to fix it, and that's with my husband doing ALL the work. Now it's a big deal. But when I think back, ever since my husband and I have been together. If his truck broke down, my car was soon to follow and vice versa. Either we have both cars or we have none. Never anything in between! Does this happen to anyone else? Or Something like this happen to you?

Well, not exactly the same exact thing, but we are in the process of buying a car from my father, for $800. Ok, so thats not too awful bad. Well, it runs great for a little over 3 weeks. Then, we need oil. My fiancee who knows nothing about cars, puts the wrong oil in. We then have to pay $49.50 for a complete oil change, professionally. Then, we get three blocks from the oil place, and the tranny takes a crap...............Thats going to cost us way more than what we are buying the car for.........OMG. I feel you girl. I do......lol

I've had one of those cars too! Everytime you turn around something is wrong with it! I still consider that a car payment, LOL. Except it seem you only have to pay when you don't have the money.

Hello TripleS519,
The same incident happened to me recently that I wrote my frustration here in one of my discussions. Last two weeks, on Monday morning, I had an accident where I hit another car which parked right at the corner of the road. My car got a pretty bad damage to the bumper. I sent it to the workshop and of course it costs me some money. Then, two days after the front passenger window of my another car being smashed by stupid thief and they took my brand new, 2 weeks old Sony CD players together with the CD case which full of CDs, the coin box and the best was, the wiping clothes. I just lost words. I don't know what to say. It was my bad week...
