When I was much younger I always love having stuff toys of any kind. I have in fact collected more than a hundreds. Some bought by my parents and siblings for me, others given to me by our family friends, grandparents, godparents, and friends.
I realized, after more than three decades I sitll have some of them. Those are well taken cared of like my "real" friends. That when I look at them, I reminince the memories that goes along with them.
Do you still keep your childhood toys What are those and why?

Oh yes, i have about 5-6 of my favorite child hoods toys still kept with me and they are so precious to me, as they carry such precious memories with them, and i have even tagged them on the back side the date and whom it was gifted to me by.
I just have always kept them with me, right from the time i remember and even when i was younger, i used to keep them by my side and when i was in college too they remained with me. So those remained with me even after my marriage and when i had my kids, they did play with those same toys for a while then i kept them aside, so that they dont get spoilt, and now that i am nearnign 40, they are my treasured possessions, kpet safely in my cupboard.
Yes, they carry those moments and each time i see them i remember how they were either gifted as my first gifts by my gradfather, relatives, aunts and it brings back those memories just looking at those toys, of course with time they are loosing their original form, but they still are my precious.

That is a nice legacy. Not all toys and designs stays for long. Children will appreciate our old toys because they find it "unique".

my only remaining toys are my sailormoon text cards and paper dolls. ^__^;; I used to make my own paper dolls and dresses but either I got tired of it, threw it, made a new one, or gave it to somebody. I actually bought my sailormoon paper dolls when I was already in highschool and y'know what.. I didn't really bought it. well, not directly. I used to ask my nieces to buy them for me. LOL some of my collections were just given to me by them. ^__^;;
I had so many other toys like those kitchen utensils toys, I had so many of them because I liked cutting up leaves and flowers and "cooking" them. LOL but I didn't keep it coz it either got lost, thrown away or given to my cousins. ^__^
I also had jumping ropes, rubber bands ^__^;;, play money, and others wich are not worth keeping. LOL

I don't have any childhood toys now. They are all gone, but my son has a lot of toys and they are still placed in boxes and well kept. He is fifteen and no longer plays with those childhood toys and he has given some of the toys to his young cousin to play with.

How kind-hearted your son is for sharing his toys to his cousins.

The only thing I still have from my childhood is my baby blanket and I'll never let that go. My grandmother made me that when she found out my mom was pregnant with me.

I think the ONLY thing I still have from my childhood would be the stuffed bear my foster mother had bought me for my first Christmas before finding out that I'd not be with her since I'd been adopted...Its in rough shape these days LOL but I still have it and it means the world to me :-D

Unfortunately, all the toys I used to have were given already to some of our relatives and other children who would really need it. Some broken, some are still in good condition.
I'd rather share them to others, than let it rot in our storage rooms.

I don't. As a kid, I was more into books. I don't even like Barbie dolls or any dolls or other toys. Sure, I have some of them but I don't really see them as precious stuff. Usually I'd love those toys for a short while and then I'd gladly pass on to others or throw away :)

The only childhood toys I still have are a few board games like scrabble and battleship. The few stuffed animals that I own are from my adult days.

I see, so you don't really have toys to enjoy then. But it is okay, toys are not everything in this world.

I have a few. I have 2 board games that I used to play all the time when I was a kid but most of the toys I kept are stuff animals. I managed to whittle them down to just one box full of the ones that are special to me or really cute.

Wow that's wonderful! How I wish I had doen that. . . I don't even remember my toys when I was still a child. My mother never showered us with many toys. I'll just keep my child's toys so that she will appreciate it when she'll have a family of her own.

I have board games from when I was younger, but nothing else really. We have yard sales all the time to get rid of the stuff, not because we don't want them around anymore, but because it's best to get rid of all of it to make more room.

And you love board games, too. Garage sale is also common here. But maybe I just have strong attachment with those toys left that is why they are still with me.

When I was growing up, my dad threw away my toys as I got older. It makes me sad now that I dont remember that much from my past.
