Child support questions?? Help Please

My husband has paid his child support faithfully for 5 years...three years ago he received a signed order stating he is only required to pay 250 a month instead of 250 every two weeks..this order is signed by the judge! Will this hold up in court since it is signed by the judge. Oh and by the way Im not asking because I dont want him to pay, but sometimes the checks add up to 750 a month and we cant pay the bills those months. Please no angry answers Im just really confused about this.
