I love having a freshwater fish tank with a variety of tropical fish sharing the habitat. Right now I have a 75 gallon fish tank. My two favorite fish are Clown Loaches. Mine are both about seven years old and six inches long. We have several algae eaters that are ten inches long. I also have an assortment of fancy guppies, mollies and tetras. I tend to stick with community fish for my tank. A friend gave us two Pacu a few years ago without knowing what they really are. While they did get along fine with the other fish by the time we had them for about six months they were over twelve inches long and way too big for the tank. We had to find them a new home. So, what are your favorite types of fish to keep in your freshwater tank?

hi.. i really love goldfishes and guppies. they are tamed and they dont chase off other fishes in the aquarium. these will make it obvious that i prefer fishes with lots of tail...LOL... i love to watch it as they swim to and fro...

I would love to have some Asian Arowanas but in the United States of America they are not allowed because they are endangered in the wild. I am setting up a fish room with about 100 tanks fro breeding tropical fishes (freshwater). One of the fish that I will be raising to sell ate the angelfish, nearly every store will take some from a good breeder (as long as the stock is hardy enough and looks good).I will also be breeding some of the killifish and also some freshwater crustaceans like shrimp and dwarf crawfish.

I love arowanas! Kiwari is a golden red tail that we have....I like watching my fish glide in its 75 gallon tank....so graceful with its beatiful scales.
