When I woke up this morning and saw the rays of sunlight passing through my window curtains, I uttered (and declared), "It won't rain today!" And it didn't. (Yahooooo!) --- But, ONLY from the moment I woke up, took a bath, had breakfast with my mom, prepared myself for work and rode the jeepney. On the way to work, (*tOinks!*) it rained, again for the nth time! Argh! Well, I always love rain. However, the rain had been on and off since September started and unfortunately, it's always "on". It will be sunny for just 5 minutes, then it will rain hard for HOURS! waaaaah! And most of the time, since last week, I had been busy going to fieldworks and have to go through the rain and be "WET" when I arrived to the client's premises. wahuhuhu! I had been complaining about the rain. Actually, due to the rain, I am reporting to work at 10AM since last week! (tehehehe!) And most of the time, I had to wear black pants, so that dirts will not be that "visible". :p And I had to wear higher sandals, because there are some streets that are flooded. ---- I had been complaining about the rain. :p (obviously) ------------------------------------------------------------ A few days ago, on my way to work, there was a saleslady who was also riding the same jeepney where I was. She wears their company uniform - the blue one with the "G" on the left side - the length of their uniform is just fitted above their knees. It's mandatory, I think (that the length of their uniforms must be that "short"). And she was holding her transparent company bag where all of her make-ups, wallet and other personal things are kept. It was just a small bag - almost 7 inches in width and 4 inches in height. While she sat, her above-the-knee uniform "went up" and almost half of her legs (she wore stockings) were "exposed" to the people riding in the jeepney. If I was on her shoes, I would really be uncomfortable. And with all the heavy rain going on, I wonder how she felt when she reports to work - wet and "messy". Plus the fact, that she will be standing the WHOLE day due to the nature of her work. ------------------------------------------------------------ And toinks! All the while, I'd been complaining about the hussle-bussle caused by the rain. I should have been thankful for the little blessings. First, I can report to work at any time I wanted. Second, I can choose any sandals that I want to wear (even if it's no longer suited as office shoes. However, I had to be "formal" when we have client meeting). Third, when I arrived here in the office, I can sit, browse the internet and start my work at the time I wanted (hehehe). And lastly, I can choose a bag as big as I wanted so that ALL of my things can fit. "Thank You, Lord for the small blessings. May I continue to appreciate the small and simple things that also matter." ---- And oh! I'm looking outside our office window, it "seems" to be sunny now. :) =============================================== How about you? Any experience that you want to share where you learn a lesson about life? :)

The beauty of making adjustments and loving rain as well as sunshine is a virtue, great to posses. My co-staff and friends almost can predict whether I will be out with them or not when it rains. Almost always not. Hehe, I use to joke them that I fear going out in the rain because I might just multiply, like gremlins. but of course if the need to get out and soak wet it there, count me in, why not. I hope to share some more but it might bore yo, so okay, this is it for nowand happy posting

No offence meant but I wish you would stop complaining about the rain. We are in the worst drought here. Our livestock have no food, our rivers are dry and our crops are failing. We have had no rain and there is considerable hardship. Spare a thought for those whose situation is opposite to yours.
