Night pictures

I have been trying to take pictures of the moon and some night pictures but they never come out. There is a setting on my camera that says it its specifically for night pictures, but it doesn't seem to do much. The pictures don't come out clear. Does anyone know if there is something I need to do in addition to that setting to take night pictures?

i think that you can't do night pictures to objects that are too far like the moon... the pictures come out very good at some closer objects...

Is it coming out fuzzy? Does the flash go off? I had a hard time with my Sony camera that had a night setting too. They always came out looking wierd. Try it without the night setting with the flash and see if that works. Also...if your camera lets you choose between picture quality...set it to best and see if you can change your flash to high. Play with the different settings to see what works.
