They say LOVE is blind...... Really???

Hi stella1989.. This really depends upon the interpration of each person. We say that love is blind because he/she fell inloved with a person that is so impossible to happen, like the aforementioned example that you have stated above. On the other hand, some people might say that how come love is blind, how did he/she fell inloved with that person if he/she was not able to see the good things and personality behind that person? So there is really a confusing explanation with regards on this matter. For my own understanding, love is blind in a way that it does not choose any person, age, and state of life or personality. Love is not blind also because when you fall inlove with a person, you have seen some of the good things, personality, and behaviors that really inspired you most and that is why you have this feeling of love for him/her. Well if you get a chance to know the beggar and if he is a really nice man, who knows you may actually be in love with him? but i believe that you took the meaning really too far with that discussion. what the saying actually means is that if you love someone then their shortcomings doesnt matter to you. but to get involved in love in the first place you need to get attracted to that person. and that is where eyes come into play. so we can say love is blind but attraction definetly has eyes. after all you cant get attracted to a begger unless he is extremely handsome, the chances of which are in one in a million. dont you agree???

I sometimes believes that love is really blind... For proof, one of my bestfriend fall in love with a person she met while she was doing a volunteer work to entertain in a prison. And that person is a criminal who is charged for robbing and destroying atm machine. My gosh.. all of us, as a best friend always remind her that this is not correct. He is in jail and she is a nice and lovely girl who deserve a good man. But what can one say when there is love involved, she said that man is nice and she will wait till he is released in another 1 and half year...

Hi Stella, Love is blind, i wont say in sense that u fall in LOVE with Beggar. the possibilty is there but sure chances are rare. what i believe in phrase "LOVE IS BLIND" that when u r in love with some one then u dont care about society, people , family and other relation. The only focus is their LOVER, they are not concern about anyone else. In Love they are ready to do anything and every thing. Even in Love u have heard that both girl and boy left the families ans ranaway to have thier own life and leave thier families to face the WHOLE WORLD, Isnt it BLIND STEP so in love u take blind steps with no logic behind it, LOVE is BLIND and ILLOGICAL. thats why MIND is there so whenever u decide use both heart and mind. Yes I can say I could fall in love with a beggar, it's shallow to say you cannot. People judge too much, what if that guy or girl was really the sweetest and most caring person in the world. You'll never know because of your ignorance. I'd rather take the time to get to know them.

According to me love is blind,blind is figurative in sense and not literally,blnd doesnt mean that you always fall in love with a beggar,but certainly you love someone with heart you never care if he is a beggar or not,in that sense love is blind.WE HEAR ABOUT A 70 YEAR OLDMAN MARRYING 20 YEAR OLD,this is an example of love blindness, you love his heart and personlaity rather than his/her social status or appearence because in love you think with heart and not with brain

Love is blind and Falling in love with a dirty begger are two different statements. Of course, it requires lots of courage to fall in love with a dirty begger and one thins is clear love cannot be one sided, you cannot fall in love with a beggar, just for the sake of falling in love. When two persons falls in love, then it turns blind, they forget each other's negative and unpleasent points.

Hi stella! I think love is blind depending on the level or how the two have gone far in their relationship. When two people are in love with each other in such a way that they don't want to do anything that will hurt themselves then, they tend to do things blindly, but you hardly find such love as most of them are playing games. I do not believe love is blind, I believe love allows you to excuse things you wouldn't normally excuse. My husband is a slob and he has some habits that I don't entirely love at all. But because I love him, I deal with it. He is working on some of his problems but I know that we are not all perfect.

i to came across this doubt in my mind past but now i think and belive that love is blind.we don't know when you loose your heart as per the todays generation.as you ask that can you fall in love with a begger yes she meets to my thinking. the only thing is that we can't spent time with them as they are really disgusting why so is they don't want to work if they provide and they need money with out any hardwork that's wrong in my view.

Love is blind. When people made this statement they probably didn't take into consideration that people won't talk to dirty, nasty, smelly people (unless it's a pitty chat). Love isnt really blind it just doesnt mind or its accepting the person inspite of his/her flaw. Like on your example falling in love with a beggar is possible because you had seen one characteristic on him that is very important on you that you cannot find on another person or is hard to find. Its really acceptance not blindness we see but we don't mind.
