Anyone have a suggestion on how to get rid of flea? They are terrible all of a sudden and I can't seem to get rid of them. I have used collars, powder and shampoo and it seems nothing is working. If anyone has a low cost way of getting rid of fleas I would love to hear it.

Give your pet a bath in dawn dish-washing liquid the fleas die quickly. Also mix some in a sprayer to spray infested area`s they die to.

The best remedy for fleas is the drops you get from the vet, they are quite expensive but work for a longtime and kill all the flea's in your home so they are the most cost effective really. The ones I use are called strong hold, you put the drops on the back of your cats neck once a month for three months and your cat and home is protected from fleas for the whole year.

Thanks for the advise. I guess after I'm done buying the shampoos and powders and collars it ends up costing the same in the long run.

Ohhhh....that's an infestation. I suggest you clean the area where your dogs sleeps and plays very well. Use disinfectant, shampoos, and all sorts. However, for a long lasting treatment, i suggest you mix grated garlic with your dog's food (like half a clove everyday). the smell seep out of their pores and the fleas find it difficult to stay.

I vaccum the whole house and furniture everyday. I just don't know what else to do. Do you have to use garlic cloves or can I just use garlic powder?
