Are you a leader or follower?

I always just wanted to be a follower. Go about my business and not be anything but a spot on the wall. Well life has a way of making you something you never thought you would be. In my case it is being a leader. I never wanted to be but I just seem to have ended up this way. My hubby says if you don't stand up and lead some other goof will do it and you have to answer to some goof so it is better to lead. He is a natural born leader and thrives on it. So here I am a leader in my life, who would have thunk. Are you a leader or follower and is it your choice to be this way or has life made it this way for you?

If you will define and act based on the definition of leader you will be a leader And If you will define and act based on the definition of follower you will act as follower. If you will define life and act based on this definition , you will act as an alive man. All these are awareness and all are stand alone definition, they can not be mixed up. If you will not be able to know all these definition, meanings you can be none of them. Thanks

I am a natural leader (by personality traits) though this is sometimes not recognized because of my taciturn social personality. However, I am not a follower under most circumstances... I will go under someone else's direction if I can trust them, but there are only a select few people I would allow to have that kind of authority over me. In most cases, I tend to either be a leader or just go about my own way without following anyone but my own instincts.

I have a hard time following especially if the leaders are not worthy of leading.

I've always been happy to live as a follower. But recently I've become a leader--and I didn't even mean to.

I think being a leader often happens by mistake and the next thing you know you are a leader!

A leader OR a follower..... . I'm neither of both. However , I would not hesitate to listen to what a leader has to say and follow what feels it to be good for me and intun what is detrimental to me.

well , let me tell you that it isnt easy to be either of it -a leader or a follower because you need a lot of patience to be a follower that is to understand other peoples thoughts to gain knowledge from them and to follow them but it is equally hard to be a leader because guiding people out of situations advicing them and other things not only need patience but also courage and most importantly experience and to gain experience we have to follow somebody so i guess being a follower could be easy however personally i may not be a follower but i know i can be good at it

In my work I was a follower asI didnt like the responsibility of beeng the leader. In my private life I am more of the leader and my husband is one as well so as you cant have 2 leaders we used to have lots of arguments but now we both learned to compromise a lot.

Compromise is very important especially when two dominant people live together!

Hi whywiki! Leadership is about getting things done.I am a leader. I work in a Bank in a leadership position and even when i was in my teens i have had this habit of making followers around me. I like to take charge of situations and get things done. I don't wait for others to respond but take the lead when ever there is a need. Leadership qualities are inbuild in your charecter 60% and the rest can be developed by you. Leaders are those who dare and not afraid of what the consequences would be. He/she should even be ready to take criticisms and failure. All the best!

I can do both on occasion. But I guess that anymore I prefer to be a follower at work. I find that I get my butt chewed on less if I'm not the one in charge. I don't have to be responsible and I like that. I've got too many things at home to be in charge of right now. I just like less stress.

i want to be a follower and live a simple life. being a leader costs too much despite the vanity, fame, weath and womem it may bring to you. even if you own all of these, happiness is likely to keep away from you. on the road to the so-called success, you may lose your family's love and faith on account of your lack of time to stay with them. maybe you can hurt other's interests to satisfy yourself. many reasons. however, the society need elites to move forward. but i am glad not to be included in.
