I watched the View this morning and watched the interview with Ashley who's 17 and runs whateverlife.com. Amazing story! Her mom and her three best friends work for her. She has a free website and make all her profit from advertisers placing advertising on her site.
She's been playing on the computer since she was nine. She must know loads of information. I don't know how many codes there are for what we do, but she knows a lot about those. I barely know what html is.
What do you think about what she's doing?
I was surprised to hear she quit high school to work her website full-time, but it's great she is going to college to get a degree in graphic design. I wouldn't be surprised if she teaches her teacher a few things.

Yes it is great what she is doing. but i feel, all that was possible bcause of the support of her parents. we must always encourage our children to master themselves in whatever field they are interested instead of asking them to do what ever we like then only any one can achieve the desired goal. hats off to her parents who are supporting her.

True...it was mentioned in the interview that her mom did want her to go outside and play when she was younger. And life is all about balance too. You can't spend all your time in front of a computer. You have to sleep sometime. And exercise help you to live to see 80.

I had never heard of that site until I read your discussion so I decided to look it up. I think that is pretty amazing. One site said could you imagine being 17 and accidentally making a million dollars. well I couldn't imagine that but boy would it be nice. I wish I could accidently do that now..lol

Yea, at any age I'd like to accidentally make a million dollars. My husband would be out shopping for his own truck right away! LOL although I'm not kidding.

yes, it is great. but i feel that this was possible because of the support given by her parents. we should always encourage our children in whatever field they like instead of forcing to do what ever we like. then only they can achieve some thing. hats off to her parents.
