What do you do to get more page views in AC?

I have been stumped at a certain clout for over a month now and I can't figure out why. Is there a better way of getting more page views? What are some of the things that you do to get people to read your articles on Associated Content? Once lady said that she submitted them to the social bookmarking sites but it didn't help, what are your suggestions?

Out of curiosity, what clout are you stuck at? I think it's when you are trying to go from 5 to 6 that it seems like it takes forever. You need a much bigger increase in page views to go up between those clout numbers.
If it makes you feel any better, I've been writing for over a year and just reached clout 8. Getting up to clout 10 is gonna take forever!

From someone who hasn't written on AC for quite awhile, I am very impressed with both of your clout numbers (ScaryWhiteGirl and Rosa). It's a matter of perspective. I also think if you publish a lot, it may be more difficult to get page views in that people don't have time to read everything you write, particularly when AC publishes a bunch of articles at one time.

I blogged about mine on my myspace blog. I put the link there, and I also sent the link to everyone in my yahoo address book, and asked them to pass it on to everyone they knew.........I'm doing decent there now!

I guess that I should have thought about this. What is your associated content link so I can go check out some of your articles? I love reading other peoples work.

Depends on what your articles are about...there are messages boards on the net for promoting just about every niche in the world...I tend to not have any problem with page views because I write on a wide variety of weird things

Hi there! Michy here - clout 10 level producer with Associated Content. I could write a long post here, but the best I could do for you is to direct you to my article about how to promote your content on Associated Content. I'm averaging over 1500 page views per day (with only two-four new articles per month), and you can too! I know you can!

Good luck to you, and I hope the article helps! If you need anything else, you can find me in the forums on AC too - pretty prolific there!
Love and stuff,
Michy

Hey Yall, it's Michy!!!! Good to see over here in Mylot. Thanks, I am going to check it out and see what you have to offer an inspiring writer like myself. I try hard to get my page views up. So far, I am doubling my page views each month. I hope that this keeps up so that by this time next year, I will be making good money and won't have to worry as much about the low offers that they have been giving people on Associated Content. The highest offer that I have gotten in the last two months was a little over $7 which was low compared to what I had gotten previously and now I would be lucky to get $7. I am glad that there are people like you who are willing to help people like me.

Read other people's articles and leave comments. The comment will link back to your CP page. The author and others will check you out. I have several regular readers who are also CP's. Subscribe to other authors you enjoy reading and ask if they will return the favor.

This doesn't really work despite what a lot of people say. After realizing that I was the only one who was commenting and reading others articles, I deleted a lot of the CPs that I once had. I now only subscribe to those who I am interested in.

I've been stuck at clout 7 myself for ages now. I haven't written anything in awhile either, so I'm sure that's why I haven't moved, considering the amount of articles you have published is what helps your clout ranking. I basically just shove my link anywhere, especially on messageboards. If I see a relevant topic being talked about, I throw out a link to one of my articles that pretty much talks about the same thing or what not. Just wherever a link can be placed, I try to place it there.

I have been hearing a lot of people saying that they do this. I have been trying to throw my links into post on my blogs that are relevant and I just started a squidoo lens on senior citizens and added all of my Associated Content links that were relevant to this. I haven't seen any benefits yet but it has only been one day since I started the lens so I hope that this works.

I am in the process of building a fan base via wordpress and myspace. I have pretty much given up on commenting of other peoples articles. I now only comment of stuff I find interesting. I don't want to suck up do people who's writing I find to be boring. I found out that certain keywords have attracted a group of people to my blog. Now I am writing articles relating to the subject in question. It has really helped my page views jump over the past week.Cool thing is I am still able to write about the stuff that interests me. I guess my only advice is to pay attantion to what peaks peoples interest, then provide more content relating to that subject.

Shared Reviews is a new site that pays for product reviews, I believe it is still in Beta testing but definetly worth checking out.
