When I was a student, I always remember this, "Don't Crack Under Pressure!" I saw it first in a fashion magazine for the TagHauer advertisement. I made it my own motto while I was still studying. I just loved it so much. Whenever I felt pressure, I will say this word over and over *laughs* Since then, my motto has changed. Right now, I always remember the words my husband used to tell me whenever we chatted online before (while we were seriously in love and were separated between two countries) : Life is amazing. Life is beautiful. I think he is right. Well, that time when he was my boyfriend, he was always right *big laughs* So tell me what is yours...lets share it here.

Hello arkaf61,
For the past 35 years, I only have two mottoes in my life as I mentioned above. But after reading all the responses, I think there are so many mottoes that can encourage me to have a better view of life and to hope for more in my life. Thanks to all my friends and respondents here.

Hello arkaf61,
Not to forget what others wrote here, I cut and paste all the mottoes and keep them in one file *smiles* Whenever I have time or feel so boring about my dull life (if it ever happens) I will read and re-read the mottoes and hope it will help me to get back to my colorful, happy life *smiles*

when i was student i didn't want to pressure myself. because other people were already pressuring me! ^__^;; so my motto then was "don't take life so seriously, learn to enjoy but don't forget responsibilities". its just my self-made motto, bits and pieces taken somewhere and combined together. ^__^ i just thought why would i be so serious if i were not happy with it?? i preferred to live my life with flying colors, although i always remind myself to be responsible for all my actions and i always keep in mind my responsibilities to myself and to my family. ^__^ and besides, "all work and no play makes secretbear a dull girl". LOL

my motto in life is " if god brings you to it he will bring you through it" i am a firm believer in the fact that god would not give us something we couldnt handle...
there are many obstacles in ones life that they have to over come.. how do they do that? faith & hope..
i have prayed so many times for a "break" and it seems like i never get one... god has a sense of humor.. these are some things that i have heard others say... sure at times its difficult and people ask "why? why me?" there is ALWAYS a reason for everything,.
thats my motto

Hello beutfulmama6701,
Sometimes, I also ask myself, "Why me?" and I feel so depressed and tensed when I think of it. But at the end, I realize that God does love me more than others and that's why He chose me to face the obstacles in this life : for the reason to make me a better person. That is my opinion. And I do agree with you that there is always a reason for everything. No matter what, life must goes on and without all the problems and obstacles in life, our lives will be very boring and dull.

My motto in life is, "Take heart." Or at least that's how it's best summed up in only a few words... to know yourself well, dream big, and work towards that dream... and don't let anyone tell you what you can and can't do. Whatever your dream, that's what you should reach for - don't be pleased with your limitations, don't settle to have less than would make you happy... always strive to improve... It's all trite but nonetheless true... at least for me.

Oh, this is a very good philosophy, and I want to add to it,"just hang on until the storm is over"! And this has helped me out in many an endeavor!

My motto - Live in the moment and be happy. Don't bother about the 3 "tense" which really gives tensions.

Well given the fact that I am a very cynical person my motto is a bit different than most peoples. Its a bit morbid but entirely true. "Life: sexually transmited, always fatal"

My motto changes all the time according to different situation. But these days, I love "Live Life to the Fullest". Yes your husband is right about life is beautiful and amazing. But the thing is because he appreciates it and that's why he thinks like that! I wouldn't want to waste my life on earth and I would to enjoy everyday. Sometimes there are just too many things around which keep us from appreciating life, and I need to remember the motto and don't let those stuff bother me.

Hello wondericequeen,
Mine changes too. It depends on the age, maybe *laughs* I always try to follow that motto : Live life to the fullest. But sometimes, you just can't get away from all those bad lucks that haunting you *smiles* Whatever it is, life is still beautiful and amazing, right?

"Mankind owes to the child the best it has to give".
I love children that's why this is my motto. I really wish to do even a small part in providing a better life for those children who know nothing but pain, suffering, hunger, war.
