The US dollar and the Canadian dollar are finally equal. It has been almost 30 years since the Canadian dollar has been so strong and the US Dollar so weak. Still goods that you can buy in the US for $500 you have to pay over $600 Canadian for. This is true whether the products are manufactured in the US, Canada, or anywhere overseas. Seeing as how I have recently moved to Canada I would like to see some reform in the dollar and the cost of goods and services. If you live in Canada what do you think about the strength of the dollar and the fact that the cost of everything that you buy still remains the same as a year ago? If you are from the US put the shoe on the other foot and imagine if your currency had reached the level of say the Euro and you still had to pay an increased cost for everything in your country. How would you feel about that? I say if the dollar is stronger then the cost of imported goods needs to come down as well.

The dollar is weak across the planet and goods and services are losing in the quality department. I am glad Canada and the U.S. are finally equal but we have a long way to go to increase the quality of life on our planet - not just monetarily.
