The "politics" picture is chosen by the users

The MyLot people are not the ones that have chosen to place an ad for Hillary as the picture that siginifies politics. Pictures get rated, and I think the one with the highest rating is the one that ends up being the default.
You can also select a picture that you like by clicking the pencil icon. When you do that, you will see the one you want, no matter what the default is.
I figured I'd start a discussion about this, because every once in a while, someone who doesn't like the picture starts a new discussion about the MyLot administrators being biased or something.

Hillary's picture is chosen according to popularity by myLot users? Well, that expains quite a bit.
Now, we know why you have such a low star rating.
Hillary Clinton supporters are not very good at the objective evaluation of facts. They tend to not be kindly predisposed toward those who are.
Can you say, "gullible, passive aggressive, prone to jump to negative conclusions" ?

Heh. The reason I have a low star rating is because I don't post in threads where basically all I could say is "I agree."
It's more fun to me to get into a debate with someone who has a different opinion. Some of those people tend to rate me based on disagreement with what I think. I suppose if I only responded to people with the same opinion as mine, my rating would be higher.

Exactly what I am saying. I believe Hillary Clinton supporters are the kind more likely to rate you minus merely for not agreeing with them. Hence, I'm not surprised we have "low" stars and myLotters choose Hillary's pic for their favorite. These 2 things go together.

Well, my star is lower than yours, and I usually find myself debating with right-wingers, so there goes your theory out the window. ;-)
But seriously, I do acknowledge there's probably a lot of that happening on both sides of the political spectrum. I think the people with high stars mostly just post with "their own kind" (not necessarily political, because there are many more kinds of topics than political ones) more often than you and me.

Really? I was wondering how it was chosen. I thought it might be the newest one =P. Well, proves how dumb I am. And I also didn't know till a few days ago that you could choose your own pic. Ah well. Better go tell all those people crying about it.
