I've been working out for about a year now. I started out weighing 117lbs, and I've gotten as high as 138lbs, but stay around 130lbs. I work out 5 times a week, but I can't seem to make any progress. I know I need to eat more, but I have such a low appetite, and I really just hate eating.
So how do you get yourself to consume enough calories? I've tried a few weight-gainers, but nothing seems to work... Help?

Weight gainers aren't really the best answer either. If you are working out you need more protein and a high carb intake is the key. Especially if you are working out 5 times a week or more. The carbs are necessary so that your body has something to burn while you are working out and the protein is necessary in order to build more muscle. Muscle as you know weighs more then fat, so it is important that you put muscle on. You may also need to vary your workouts. Doing the same workouts over and over again isn't going to build muscle or add weight, in fact it will do just the opposite. Your body will adjust and adapt to the workout and actually become more efficient. Make sure you vary the weight and vary the reps often. Also if you are serious about putting weight on make sure that you don't overdue the cardio. This is going to cause the muscle tissue to elongate and activate the slow twitch muscle fibers that build endurance not muscle size and strength.
Bottom line is that you have to eat and you have got to eat healthy. No junk, no fast food. Eat good food like baked chicken and brown rice and fresh veggies. make sure you eat at least three times a day also. You body needs fuel not only to work out, but also to replenish itself and put that weight on.
Hope that helps!
