Have you ever had plastic surgery? A nose job, face lift, botox injections, ect? Would you if you could? What would you change? I never have and doubt I ever would. I don't think I have the world's most beautiful face (not compared to some of the movie stars) but I like it just the same...after all I've had it for almost 40 years LOL I have my Dad's eyes and my Moms cheeks. Besides I'd be scared they'd screw up and I'd end up like Micheal Jackson and no one would know what I was. That and most ppl I've seen that have had face lifts have this look of surprise on their face like their face is so tight they don't dare sneeze or their eyes and nose would pop off. I see alot of ppl getting them in an effort to stay young looking but wouldn't it be better to age gracefully? **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

I agree...I'm getting older and have started to get little lines and wrinkles but I figure it's all good. It adds character to me. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

With today's pressure on outward beauty it is hard not to be critical of our own bodies imperfections. But to go into plastic surgery is not what I would recommend. Be happy with yourself and leave the surgery to someone else. It is painful, expensive and has to be done every few years or so. No fun. sunnywaters

I agree...once you start doing it, it never ends. Your farther ahead to just take care of yourself and age gracefully. Thanks for responding!! **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

I used to work in product demonstrations in grocery stores, and there was one lady I saw who always looked awfully surprised. She also had leather colored skin (tanning beds) and very black shiny hair (too dark a dye) She looked freaky to me. She accentuated that perpetual surprised look by pulling her hair into a high tight ponytail. I will keep the face I've got, thanks. I like the sun, but I will not tan my hide, and I have also decided that my gray hair looks as if it has been professionally streaked, and I like it too. I still wear makeup, but I have fun with all of my features.

The only thing I have ever done as to dye my hair and after one nightmare experience when it all had to be shaved off...I quit doing that too. I figure God made me this way...why mess with it. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

i wouldn't want to. I've read too many horror stories about dodgy plastic surgery. I agree that it's better to age gracefully. I'd rasther look like a healthy 50 year old than a sausage, all tied up back behind my ears, all cat like and gross. Sure there are some things about my body that I'd like to modify/fix but i'm not prepared to look like a different person or to mess with what nature gave me. I do think that plastic surgery can be good though. I think it's beneficial for people who have deformities, or something that brings their confidence down, or injuries and scars from accidents etc. I just think the whole world is so superficial now, and the fact that plastic surgery is becoming 'the norm' quite frankly scares me.

I have a burn scar on my arm that I would love to have fixed. It was from a car accident. Wearing a sleeve no one can see it, but if I could, I'd have that fixed.

yes, I've had plastic surgery I went from a DD to a B If I wasn't afraid of the pain, I'd get a nose job, on the other hand, I just a lady on the TV who had a snoz that could use it more than I do. I have a cat with a big nose, I call him Taj the Snoz - the "a" in Taj simular to the "o" in snoz so it sounds more like "Taj the snaz"

The boob job was deemed medically necessary so insurance paid for it. I sure couldn't have afforded plastic surgery. I am glad I don't have the boobs tho

Not me ! I am the type that tells people take me as I am, because I am not going to change myself to make anyone happy. If people don't like to look at me they don't have to. My husband doesn't complain so why should anyone else ! Plus I can think of better things to do with money than to have it go to a Dr. for something that is not necessary for my health.

I hear what your saying. My Hubby loves me just as I am and if he's happy why should I worry about anyone else. My family knows me and is happy with me. If I want to change things for me then that's one thing but to do it just to impress ppl I don't know is silly. Thanks for responding!! **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

Personally, I don't think I would go for any of the above but I have no problems with ppl doing it. It's their choice and in many cases ppl do it out of compulsion as well. I support correction surgery when required for some accidents or mishaps. There is no end to uplift yourself, we do not just remain satisfied with our nose, eyes or a face life - there is no limit to live upto our idea of looking goos. Botox is controversial and we never know about the expertise of the administrator. I feel, one should have a very high self esteem about the way they look and carry themselves. One should be more beautiful from within than from without. Our knowledge, wisdom, values give us a confidence which in turn makes us beautiful. Thanks.

Very well said. I think that once you start on cosmetic surgery for improvements it never ends. I can see doing it for medical reasons but if you have a good self image then most ppl would feel the need for cosmetic surgery. Not only that but I believe that all the excitement over supermodels have alot to do with it as well. Ppl want to be just like them...not realizing that they too will age. I have never had any type of cosmetic surgery, except to remove a mole or two or fix my teeth other than that No...I really do not feel like i need surgery.I have a nice face and no abnormalities, thank god for that....i have seen all those Movie stars...Phylis Diller is the only person i have seen that looked better after surgery...I think what dolly Parton done, looks ok, but she was so pretty anyway she did not need anything done...Its like pressure to them because they are so judged being in the public eye..I have seen so many stars that looks awful afterward,i would be afraid.....im just happy with what God gave me and i just fix it up to the best i can be....I do not need to prove anything and i do not like pain....

I remember the girl from Dirty Dancing...Jennifer Grey...I really liked her in that movie and went to look up what she's done since then and according to several movie sites that was her one and only big movie. It seems after that movie she had the bump in her nose fixed (she looked completely different) and no one wanted to cast her. She just looked like any other girl after it was gone. I thought it was pretty shallow that they wouldn't cast her after that (she did some tv movies) but that's showbiz. Not to mention look what it did to Micheal Jackson. Some ppl think he's like a new age Frankenstein after all his work he had done. Nope, I'll just be happy with what I have too. Thanks for responding!! **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

No thank you. I would rather age gracefully. I never did and never will understand why ppl have to mess with what god gave them. I can see if you were in an accident and it disfigured your face pretty bad, but not just to get rid of wrinkles or anything.

no, I've never had cosmetic surgery. I might consider it if I were in some sort of accident, or if I was mauled by a creature or disease that ended up making my face disfigured. But so far as getting it to alter my natural appearance I would say it is not for me. I appreciate the artistry of God's hand.

No, I have never had any cosmetic surgury. I am very happy to say I will be 56 years young in a few weeks, and I am very happy with what the Lord has given me.There is nothing about me I have ever seen a need to alter,or change. Now if I were in a bad accident that left me disfigured, that might be differant.

I have thought about getting my nose done and my boobs but I know that's just a fleeting kind of a feeling. I think plastice surgery is great for people who really need it (ie birth defects burn victims ext) but just becuase you want to look young or what ever is kinda stupid in my book. But hey to each his own right. And if you have the money to blow on fake body parts why not. lol

I won't go under the knife for cosmetic reasons. people don't realize that face lifts and liposuction come with weeks, if not MONTHS of swelling and pain. It's horrid. Celebrities can do it, because they can go hide out at home and let their cooks and house cleaners take care of business while they heal in private. The rest of us have to go back to work. It's just not worth it to me. At all. I'll take what God gave me, and I'll let it age appropriatly and I'll be PROUD of my accomplishments and let my wrinkles tell the world that I've been around a while.

i think people who get plastic surgery are afraid of who they are but then again there are some who get it don't fro mecical reasons like micheal jackson. he was burned and jsut because his face isn't the same as it was before he got burned the doctors did the best they could.

This body and face is what God gave me. If people don't like it they don't have to look. Besides, I'm scared of surgeries.
