I like reading and I like a lot of writters. If I must choose one as my favourite, I should say it's Jane Austen who had written my favourite book ,"Pride and Prejudice" which is one of the best romantics novels. Charles Dickens is great too. I like his books too. But because Jane often makes me happay and Dickens makes me tearing,so I prefer Jane to Dickens. Who is your favourite writter? Which book do you like most?

I'd say Stephen King or Garth Nix is my favourite author. As for books I'd say either Carrie, or IT by Stephen king and I would say either The Abhorsen Trilogy or the Ragwitch by Garth Nix.

I like Stephen King too. What I like most is "The Shawshank Redemption". The movie is great too. Did you see the movie? About Garth Nix, I don't know him, maybe he is not popular in China.

My favorite author is Michael Crichton. I love science fiction books and I think he's masterful at creating his stories. He does a lot of research before completing a book and what he ends up with is a great mixture of science and history with lots of action and nonstop reading. Some of my favorite books by him include Jurassic Park, Timeline, Sphere, and Prey.

Jane Austen is also my favorite author. I have always loved Pride and Prejudice though recently I have enjoyed Persuasion quite a bit also. Actually, I have enjoyed all of the Jane Austen books that I have read and I think I have read them all. Once you know Jane Austen's works, it is amazing how many more modern movies are basically her stories adapted to modern day life. For example, the movie "Clueless" with Alicia Silverstone was basically a modern day Emma. Also, Bridget Jones Diary was basically a modern day Pride and Prejudice -- right down to Colin Firth's character's last name: Darcy.

Hi tujiagirl, I like Jane Austen and her “Pride and Prejudice”, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s “Sherlock Holmes-The Long Stories. At the present moment I am reading Three Men in a Boat written by Jerome K. Jerome. I am a sluggish reader and I could only read at a slow rate so it needs time for me to finish it. The first book is about the growing up of the lovely young ladies whereas the 4 long stories of Sherlock Holmes are adventurous, thrilling and mysterious. Since the contents and nature of the two books are utterly different so I like both these.
