From what I've seen, yes you need to respond with a response that is at least 4 lines long in order to get paid at all. I'm not sure if they count half cents invisibly if you post less than that and add them up if you post more short responses, but yes you definitely need to have a response that consists of more than a sentence or two in order to get paid anything.

Oh no, that's not good news. I don't know if I can come up with 4 lines everytime. No wonder payout has been very hard to reach. I guess it would make sense though. After all a discussion is worth more than a one liner, unless it's a very clever one liner. We should get points for being clever. In any case, I'll make it a point to respond with 4 lines or more from now on. Oh geez, looks like it's not as hard as I thought. LOL. Have a great weekend.

I agree, quality not quantity, sort of thing... I don't think anyone's going to want to do the job of checking every discussion for clever posts though... which is too bad I guess, unless they have a REALLY clever bot... hmm

I'm not too sure about that. I actually read here that your response can be however short you want it to be. It's a good question though. I'll be looking in for more answers to this. have a great weekend.

You're welcome, my friend. It's three in the morning. I guess that's when I do my best writing. By the way, is the 4-line rule somewhere mentioned in the MyLot terms or something. There's not a whole lot of people who respond with four lines. People like to keep their responses to a couple of sentences. Oh well, it's fun to write. Have a great weekend.

There was a time when I will respond to discussions, but can't just see payment. Since I learnt about the four-lines discussion of a thing, I never respond to discussion of less than four lines. Thanks too and have a wonderful weekend.

When replying any discussion I always try not to write less than four liners. I notice that on the left hand side of the space provided for us to post response, there is an instruction saying that: your response (in green color), bellow is: Please be as descriptive as possible. This tells us clearly we could only express our view more descriptively with more sentences. So I believe it’s true that responses with lesser sentences couldn’t get more earning.

Iam not aware of this but defintely iam sure that more we write the more we are paid..we can see this while typing a response as it indicates that please be descriptive as possible by mylot..I have also experimented it by posting a elaborate discussion which paid me a good sum..happy posting..

Hi subathra! I was told by a friend that one must respond to every discussion that is up to 4 lines. I also notice that its true cos there was a certain time when I responded to several discussions. Thanks

I don't know if it's true or not, but it wouldn't surprise me if we got paid more for the more we write over a certain level.
I find that a lot of people just write short responses. sometimes only one or two words, or a single sentence which strikes me as odd.
I enjoy the conversation on myLot and I love to write and help where I can or voice and opinion.
It's easier for me to go overboard with a response =P
I think we get paid for any response, no matter how short, though.

I had such experience when I was into posting many discussions, but couldn't just see my money increasing. I was so nevous about it until when a friend posted a discussion to me telling me know how important it is to respond to discussion of four or more lines. Thanks for your response. Have a great day.
