Hello emvic4life :)
I don't believe there is a required number of times to pray. It doesn't matter if you pray even just once in a day for as long as your heart and mind is into it. It's useless doing it like ten times or more if you really don't mean what you say in your prayers. As for me, I pray when I wake up, before meals and before sleeping at night :)

Can u please say a prayer for my little cousin Sean, he is only 5 and yesterday we found out he has meningitis, they thought at first it was just a bug. he is in hospital on machines because his organs are failing and he is unconcious and in two days if he doesn't start to recover they will be turned off. He is just a baby and nobody wants him to die, especially so close to christmas, please have him in ur thoughts and prayers...

it really depends on the person. I pray many times a day. I just simply talk to God and send small prayers asking for guidance or strength to get through a tough moment.

This is a great question. Much of the answer depends upon the definition we apply to prayer. I think that prayer is any occasion, whether it be getting on our own for several minutes at a set time of day and sharing with God, or whether it be just thinking about God and how we can serve him at several points in a day, even asking for 5 seconds for God's favour before we decide whether to say or do something. My feeling is that we should have a time or two each day when we isolate ourselves and talk to God, but I also feel that continual God consciousness throughout the course of each and every day represents a true life of prayer.

Hi friend! There is no number of times specified in the bible which counts the number of times one should pray. That's why Jesus said in Luke 18:1 (That men ought to pray and not to faint). That is to say, we should keep praying without ceasing until the answer comes. Thanks and have a great day.

Quality over quantity, my friend. I never heard my Priest saying anything about how many times people have to pray during the day. The more often you pray (quality prayer, that is), the better, I guess. ;-D
