Have you ever called your congressman?

Do you think it would make a difference to dial your local politician and tell them how you feel about a current issue?
I think if we all did that more often, it would make a difference. We are paying these folks to do a job, stand for OUR causes, why aren't we doing anything about it? Tell me what state you are in, and I will find the phone number for your congressman. Call them and tell them how you feel about the war, no matter what side you are on.

There is a story that a senator once walked into his office ans asked what the people thought about a major bill. His secretary responded with it is running 2-1 in favor. 3 people called in and he voted for the bill. If they follow the will of the people or not we will not know because we do not know how many phone calls they get. If enough people call and he/she votes againsit their wishes, the hope is that they will remember it at election time. They must be listening some because look what happened to the Immigration Bill and the Dream Amendement? Lets keep up the pressure and make sure they remember who they work for.

Exactly!! I am going to start not only following the news and current events, but I have found a website that gives voting records and explanations of bills voted on by congress. I am going to start holding these officials accountable. They have chosen this life work, and they should be responsible with their actions, they do WORK for us.
