Its September 29th and all's well.
But seriously folks its the end of September, what worked for you this month?
Since we last "spoke" I wrote an ebook and I'm hoping to get it all finished up and list it on eBay by Sunday evening.
I still have my other areas monitored and I hope here that the things that I have set up will start paying me dividends in the coming month and months.
So tell me, what things did you do this month that worked? Are you going to continue with them in October?
What didn't work? Are you going to improve on them in the coming months or are you going to discard them?
Lets get the ball rolling. Christmas is right around the corner!! Lets start out October running!!!

For this month, I came across this website and now I'm starting to share my ideas. I hope to continue it next month and the months to come.
My other accomplishment this month is that I have been contemplating of leaving my current job for a better opportunity and I made a decision this month which is making me scared and rethink if it was a wise one. I know that I will be able to find something that will be of my interest with a time that I desire to work on, however, giving my boss my final word is still scaring me right now. The effectivity date is not now, however, mentioning my intentions make me feel like I want to take back what I said to my boss.
I really hope that all will be well!

good luck in all your undertakings, fortunebee. it is never that easy to leave a current job in favor of a better opportunity if all's well in there. yes, i agree with you that it will reallly take sufficient courage to be able to sign up that resignation letter and submit it to your boss ahead of time in order for the boss to be prepared for your day of exiting your present office. just remember though, that there will always be a need to find the right opportunity for our career growth. we owe it to ourselves to give ourselves the opportunity to grow up careerwise now.

There are always some feelings of anxiety when we embark on new opportunities. The doubt sets in and we beat ourselves up with thoughts that we made a bad decision.
A favorite teacher once said that if you thnik that you missed the Lord, don't worry, he will find you. (paraphrased)
We won't know whether or not something is right until we try.
If you have feelings that you should leave something...as long as you're not leaving in strife, chances are you're making the right decision. Start telling yourself that.
And if you missed it, at least you will (hopefully) take a lesson away from the experience.
Good luck and God Bless You.

I agree. You will never know if you are right with the decision that you make until you take the action. I tend to remind myself of this phrase - 'Come what may.' but I don't disregard or forget the fact of giving it my best.
I like what you said that if you were lost, God will find you. Sometimes we have to remember this, we are not alone!

well, good for you. you have something to look forward to as an accomplishment for this ending month. sad for me, i have always felt that i have never accomplished enough in my life at all. it seems that each day ends in a manner wherein i could have done much better. this time, since we are talking about the month of september, it appears that there isn't much that i have accomplished at all. there were so many things that i have lined up to do and they are all undone until this moment. too bad, i have been looking forward to starting to be working in a well paying job by october and i have not yet completed all the requirements. really, it is too bad and i really feel miserable about this.

Can I be frank with you?
I give you until the end of today to leave that pity party you've been enoying. Been there, done that and it is just palin BAD!
If you continue to believe that you have not accomplished anything in life you WON'T in the future and you will continue to be miserable. Life is too short for thinking like this. Not only that it AFFECTS your health. Believe me I KNOW.
Our timing is NOT God's timing...I'm learning that more and more each day, so maybe the job that you want/need/desire has not become available yet. Have you thought about that?
I don't know if you've been on any interviews and have not gotten any offers, but could it be that you're giving off this doom and gloom vibe to prospective employers? Think about it.
Also, those things that "you had lined up to do" do you think maybe that you weren't very passionate about them why you didn't get at least some of them done? Think about that too.
What do you want in life? I don't mean riches and fame or materalistic things. What fuels your fire. For me right now is keeping a roof over my head. That's what keeps me going. That's my greatest fear. And I'm going to do ALL in my power for that not to happen.
You have to start looking at things differently. Again that is a daily chore for me. There were days not very long ago when I would stay in bed until it was time to start getting ready for work...I work evenings. You can't change things lying in your bed.
Don't get me wrong, things are not nearly perfect for me right now, the creditors are still calling daily but I continue to do what I know to do and learn what I don't and if there is a God, I'll get things right or close to it, soon.
I'm reminded of a motivational speaker whose book I read years ago. He related somtthing that happened at one of his meetings. A lady came up to him after the meeting and she was just lamenting on how bad life was treating her. Listing all that was wrong in her life. He couldn't get a word in edgewise, finally out desperation and just to SHUT HER UP he threw a glass of water in her face. She was stunned and finally began to laugh. His point was that he had to get her to focus on something else long enough to see what she was doing to herself.
What are you focusing on?
Consider this me throwing a glass of water in your face.
God Bless You.

Take things one day at a time. I know we come to a point of a plateau in our life and things don't seem to come our way. BUT on the brighter side, if you, yourself exerted the effort to make sure that you took one step closer to your goal, and also one step to take action, then you shouldn't feel drastic, because in life there are things that we unexpectedly have to take care of, even if we have to drop what we are doing now and set it aside.
If that goal for this month didn't happen, you will have a brandnew day tomorrow and the next months to come. You will only have to pull yourself together and pick up where you left off. Sometimes, better yet, you might come across better opportunities, all you have to do is weigh things down and follow where your heart fully believes you are happy with and not because of what others say so.

Hi Pal,
Thank you for reminding me the it is the beginning of Oct. again. How time flies.
I didn't finish quite some jobs in mywork in sep., since I was being given more subordinates in Sep.,but I didn't have enough time to have a good meeting with them up till now since all of us were too busy in Sep. The things I would like to do in Oct. in the work is to maintain a good relationship with customers and also have some good talk with the 6 team members and have them well prepared for the new arrangement.
And also I would have more time with my friends and family in Oct.
Wish you all the best .Andy

Andy,
That sounds like a plan. Good luck with it and congrats on your added responsibilities.
Me...I've opened a store on eBay again and I'm trying to get it stocked. There are so many steps in listing eBooks so its a lengthy process. So far I've only got 2 up, the one I wrote and another one. I'm going to have to dedicate some time over this coming weekend.

September is the beginning of the Christmas season, and I really felt the Christmas spirit this month. And I'm so happy to say that I shared this spirit with my loved ones. And as it ends today, I'm triple glad that I've found MyLot.
My September turned out to be very emotional yet interesting. Out of curiosity, I searched for my half sister (from my father) on the internet. To my surprise, I easily found her. Although I already knew that I have a half sister, the confirmation happened earlier this month was really awkward and emotional. But I guess I dealt with it well. But it didn't stop there. As the eldest among 7 legal siblings, I have to share my discovery with them. Luckily, out of 6 I got 4 positive reactions. Sadly, the other two are not yet open to meeting our half sister. But I'm still praying that it will come to them sooner.
My bigger problem now is how to tell my Mom that we already met our half sister. And our Dad doesn't know either. I just hope I will have the right timing to do this, I hope before Christmas. Anyway, I still have more than 2 months to prepare for it.
You might ask why is this a big deal for us? Yes, it is, because in Philippine culture and tradition, half sisters or mistresses and the like are not acceptable. They are usually hidden, as much as possible forever.
