It's 5 am and you get a knock on your door... Wondering who might that be so early in the morning.. You ask and it the Police Department.. So you open the door and ask the officer what was wrong.. Well this very thing happened to me this morning. It was 5 am and a officer knocked on my door.. I was thinking now what happened or what did I do, Ha ha I don't go out much so I know I'm not in trouble... Well the officer got a call saying there was a fight at my residence, I said no here we are all sleeping, well except me.. lol He asks if I am ok and if i knew a certain person, I replied yes he lives next door, He asks if I heard anything I told him around 4 am I heard something but didn't know what it was... It was the normal thing that I hear all the time, Let me remind you this house is like right next door almost like connected.. The officer reports no fight back to the dispatcher and takes a look around.. Couldn't find or hear anything... Well 5 minutes after the officer leaves all sort of noises came from the house it was getting louder and louder... My husband who was waken by the knock went outside to see what it was and it was the person the officer was looking for... He went and hide along with his girlfriend... I told my husband the next time an officer comes to my house at 5 am, I am going to give him permission to go into the house and remove that person from there.. Something was going on but I don't know what... What would you have done if this happened to you?

I think I'd have maybe called the police station and told them the officer had just left but now there was a disturbance going on at the house in question. They probably would have radioed the office and he'd have been back there within a few minutes. BUT, I think I would also want to make sure your neighbors weren't made aware that you had called the police. You can never be too careful and you never know if they may try to do you harm in some way. I know if I got a knock on the door at that hour it would scare the sh*t out of me!

It scared me that's for sure, I didn't know what was going on... I even made sure it was an officer and not just someone saying they were from the police department.. Knowing the officer I opened the door... I was really thinking about calling them back and telling them to come back cause now their was noise.. I almost wanted to go there, but of course I didn't.. The last thing I ever want is to be beaten on you know stepping into something like that... Thanks Annie for your reply!

Do you have the right to tell the police they can go into anothers home???
as far as from your story you told the police the truth as you knew it up to that point tere is nothing wrong with that.
What more could you have said?

Hi Mike, I could of said yes they are here sense the car was here but I don't know what they have been doing... Yes actually I do, My landlord whom is my husband's boss says if anything goes wrong to call the police and get it taken care of.. I am thinking another neighbor called because I know I didn't...

its weird he didnt try to knock on their door. or did he and they didnt answer?
The rental laws must be different becuase in NY not even the landlord has the right to enter without proper notification to the tenent and it is the law everywhere that even if you are renting and the landlord gives the cop the ok to enter the premisses the cop still has to go by the warrent and or search an seizor laws.

Of course they wouldn't answer and I know why too.. The police did knock on the door I seen him do it.. I was standing outside.. The officer knew someone was there being I heard noise an hour earlier.. A officer has all right once being called of a disturbance to enter the premises they don't need a warrant to see what is going on... This person they were looking for is well known for many things that he's done and of course this really don't surprise me from all the stories being heard/said..
