we live in a 3-storey building. but the home is only on the third floor. the second floor is a storage room, while the ground floor is the store. my in-laws are chinese so that is pretty much the ideal set up. pretty easy, too.
how about you? do you live in a rented apartment, a condo, a bungalow, a mansion? but if you live in a mansion, i doubt if you would still do mylot because of the money. haha cheers people!:-)

I live in a 1 1/2 story farmhouse build around the beginning of the 1900s. The first story has a kitchen, pantry (if we make that landing/room into one), dining room (now it's a computer room), bathroom and living room. The second half a story was supposed to be three bedrooms, but it's more like one bedroom and two junk rooms. We are paying off the mortgage, slowly.

My mortgage is less than renting. Our electric is low because I use most things on the night rate. We only heat the first story and the kitchen gets about 1/2 the heat of the rest of the house because I cook in there. We put a new roof on and it cut our heating bill in half. We use half the electricity and half the fuel oil People live in way smaller places and have way bigger bills. Since we only sleep in the second story, that only has to be heated at night. Last year we put in a wood stove at one end. We only use it on really cold weekends or really damp ones. That way the furnace can keep up in sub-zero and our arthritis is fine in the dampness.
It was the unexpected repairs when we first tried to move in, that's what you have to watch out for in an old farmhouse. Take care

that is so cool writer! and you sure know how to cut costs in your home. oh i would love to have my own home some day. although we don't have farm houses here in the city, but a nice bungalow would be okay for me. :-)

i rent a house, there is only one room. so it is my bedroom and my living room, we have a common toilet and my landowner will clean it everyday.
it is small, but it is enough for my boyfriend and i. frankly, i hate big house, then i can't feel safe when i'm alone at home at night.
my parents' house is a big and beautiful house. there are 4 rooms in it. one is for my parents, one is for my younger brother, and one is for me , the left one is for visitors. if i am married, then i will buy a house like that.

I live in a townhouse which has two bedrooms, a large master and much smaller second one that I use as an office, one and three quarters baths, a small kitchen separated from the small dining area and fairly large living room by a bar. The house is about 1440 square feet and has an attached two car garage. It is on a small lot in the foothills on the West side of a moutain that is just East of the the city.
