if you are familiar with China,What is your favourite city in China?

I have only been in Guangdong province. I prefer Meizhou (where I am teaching right now) followed by Guangzhou and Zhuhai. The nice thing about Zhuhai is that you can walk across the border to Macau. Very convenient when I need to buy shoes (since the shoes here are such low quality by American standards.

yea,as many person said,hangzhou is my favourite city!~ i have lived in hangzhou for 5 years,the west lake is very famous for it's beautiful sence every seasons!~ if you want to get more information,just go there for a traval!~

It realy difficult to say which city in mainland is the best choice. Maybe it depends. If you like modern city, Shanghai or Shenzhen should be a good choice. If you like the city mixs with modern and history, Beijing is the best choice. If you like a city full of historical stories, Lhasa might be a good choice.

As a chinese,my favourite city is Tianjin,not only i study in the city(Tianjin polytechnic university),but also,shi is an old city in my heart,shi is great!

I personally only been go Guangzhou and Shanghai. I love Guangzhou more because I can understand them better. Everywhere in China is developing fast in IT as well as more impressive buildings and art works.........

I have never been to those big cities ,and my hometown Jinzhou which locate in Hubei Province I think it is a suitable place to live.I can eat so many kinds of things there,it is so delicious,and buy many thing cheaper than other cities. By the way,Wuhan,the city now I stay is also very nice too.I think it is quite difference from other big cities.

My favorite city in China is Hangzhou, which is famous for its beautiful West Lake and nice environment. Hangzhou is the most beautiful city in China as CCTV 9 says each time when I tune in this channel. I love Shanghai as well, but I don't like the gray sky most of the time in the year. Each time I went to Shanghai, I could hardly see blue sky that I expected. I think that the air pollution there is rather serious and not good enough for enjoying life though Shanghai is really a good place for amusement and more information could be got there for its fast-developing speed in China. Beijing is suffering from too many dust-storms. I don't like this kind of weather. For a visit, it is ok, but for living, I would have to consider it. Shenzhen is also my favorite for its wonderful location, which is so close to Hongkong and Guangzhou. I have been to Guangzhou years ago and I think that people in Guangzhou are as nice and friendly as Hangzhounese. Anyway each city has its own features. Still I love Hangzhou best. hehe.

If you mean to visit China,I suggest that you should go to Shenyang, a northeast city in China. It is not such flourishing as Shanghai,but there is simple and sincere people.They are passion and hospitable.If you are a stranger, you will not feel you are abroad.There are many chinese traditional food such as chinese dumpling, which alls LaoBian dumpling,chinese pie,in there it calls HaiCheng pie.Additional, the chinese last dynasty originate there.Therefor,it is a very cultural city.Welcome to Shenyang!

how about xi'an,a beatiful city with long history?people in xi'an are friendly and warmly.what's more,since there are many foreign visitors coming to xi'an ,the tourism is advanced.terra-cotta warriors and horses in xi'an is one of the world 8 wonders

i will choose hangzhou city ,the capital of zhejiang province .i have been there 3times ,everytime i go there ,i would not miss to go west lake which really beautiful and u will feel u like in paradise~~it's amazing !!

just like mari123 said, there are a lot of cities in china worth to visit. if you can visit only one city in china i really recommond you choose beijing, not only because of Beijing is the capital of china, has lots of famous interest place such as great wall-one of the world seven wonders, summer palace, the imperial palace, but also beijing will be the host city of 2008 olympic games, as a chinese i would like to say: welcome to Beijing, my friends
