Does your family understand your pain?

Do you suffer from chronic pain due to illness- such as Fibromyalgia or Lupus?
If you do, do you find it hard to get your family to believe your pain? For instance, if you're having a flare does your significant other declare that it's "convenient" that it happened at that particular time because they felt that you were faking?
Does your family support you or do they doubt you? If they support you how so? Could you tell me how it is you proved that life really is miserable some days and you're not just looking for sympathy?
