Singing Range

What exactly is your position when it comes to your singing range?
Mine is very varied. Last year, in choir, I was placed as a first Soprano. This year, I'm a second Alto. I can sing and reach both parts, so I suppose it just matters as to what song it is.
Anyways, what part do you sing?
