I was looking up the movie Tombstone and came across this! Funny and interesting tombstone epitaphs from around the country. From way back when until now. Here are some: "I told you I was sick" "Here Lies Joyce "She'd rather not But no choice." "The Children of Israel wanted bread And the Lord sent them manna Old clerk Wallace wanted a wife And the Devil sent him Anna" "Here Lies Lester Moore Shot 4 times with a .44 No Less No More" "Hung for stealing horses that didn't exist Here are the people responsible for this" " I knew this was going to happen to me " "Here lies Slip Mcvey He would be here today But bad whiskey and a fast gun put him away" "Ma Loved Pa, Pa Loved Women, Ma caught Pa with one in swimmin.. Here Lies Pa" "I Am Woman Hear Me Roar And Boy Did She" "Here lies an atheist All dressed up, And no place to go" Hope you get a kick out of these. I sure did.

These are so cute. I can't imagine putting them on any of my family members gravesites. Just goes to show that even the grieving can still have a sense of humor. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

This is very true...although I could see myself having "I told you I was sick" on my headstone...that would leave my family laughing for years. Thanks for responding!

Thanks for the laughs. That is pretty good. Who knew you could walk around a cemetary and actually laugh!

Oh my gosh. These are hilarious. I especially like the one about the atheist. Sorry, nothing bad intented. Every writer should jot these down for future stories. Thanks for sharing those.

I sure had fun reading this! ^__^ the best for me are "I told you I was sick", and about Joyce with no choice, and about the atheist who has nowhere to go. LOL

Well, it took me a couple of times of reading some of them to make any sense out of them, then an hour later I was laughing and my daughter was looking at me funny. So, don't feel bad! Thanks for the response!
