Aero Garden -- indoor hydoponics growing system!

Has anyone purchased one of these? What has your experience been using the aerogarden? It advertises you can grow fresh herbs, produce and flowers indoors with no soil, weeds or mess in about a month.

My friend bought one for his mom - she loves it but she's also really into gardening and plants. Kind of costly for a few herbs if you ask me! But hey, I'm old fashioned at heart anyways! She does always have fresh herbs with no mess and no dirt and no bugs!
