What is it about the computer and the keyboard that he has to *Walk* across the keyboard when I'm on the computer?! I can't tell you how many times he's stepped on the wrong key and messed something up or an email I'm typing! LOL
So what annoying habits does your cat or cats have?

I am having the same problem at the present time. Lotus is looking for attention and has been sitting on or near the keyboard. Now she is sitting on me and trying to settle into a comfy spot. Nope, back to the keyboard. And now into my coffee. She tried to get her face into my cereal bowl a few minutes ago. Time for her to go outside.

Our computer is in the livingroom, so keeping them out of the room isn't an option. You have a good idea about just keeping them out of your computer room?

my cat painfully bites me when he gets annoyed!(his ears are folded back as well) the kind of bite that pierces your skin and makes it bleed! i hate it when he does that, my former cats never laid a fang on my skin! all of my former cats were mongrels, this mean cat is half persian and half siamese.i dunno if his breed has something to do with that.

We dont have ny cats, but we do have a baby that does the same thing! She is always grabbing for the key board! I think it's cuase your cat and the baby here are both jealous of nay time spent not with them! Really, I think most animals and even smaller children develope these habits as ways of showing that they are mad at the big humans around them! We had a cat once that flat out hated me - just me - and always hid under the couch and tried toi swipe at me and hiss when I crawled by. I was too little to remember it, but my mom swears if you asked me "What does the kitty say?" I would hiss and claw at the air when I was like 1 cause that cat was so jealous of me (I was the first baby and the cat had been around for years!)

You're probably right. When he's not walking across the keyboard, he wants to lay in my lap.
That's something about the cat not liking you when you were little. It does sound like he was jealous!

I rarely get annoyed over my cat, majzhai. He just has a lot of endearing traits, like waking me up in the morning and walking ALONG THE SIDE of the keyboard!
My pc is located beside the window and there was a time when he walked OVER the keyboard while I was typing. The next time he tried to do that, I covered the keyboard and told him to just walk in between the keyboard and the monitor. He followed suit. :)

Yes, he really is such a sweet cat. He greets me everytime I come home from wherever and he has a cute way of asking for water and food. He also reminds me to sleep by sitting on a nearby spot and staring at me as if telling me, "hey, it's time to sleep..."
Please pray that we don't have to take him to the shelter when my sister gives birth in November.
And, super thanks for the Best Response! :)

My cat does to and he plays with the mouse or the words on the screen or blocks the screen. He also poops in our plant, and at night when we are sleeping he runs a ruckus and we get up with stuff knocked down in the morning. He also meows and meows if he wants attiontion and im not giving it to him. I'm thinking about getting rid of him

Oh my! What a character! We had a cat similar to that. As he got older he mellowed out.

I forgot to add that he drinks after me and begs for food. I will find him drinking coffee and tea or whatever is in my cup all the time

Our precious little fuzz ball, Morgana, does the same and will stand right in front of the monitor so that she blocks just about the whole screen. It is her way of getting my attention. LOL

More or less the cat is just trying to get your attention while doing that. Normally the best way is to make your desk uncomfortable for the cat to be on.
A good way of doing this would be to get a plastic door mat that has the(for lack of a better way of describing it) spikes on it(the mat is normally used for scraping/cleaning your shoes off before coming inside) and lay it across your desk's surface(some cutting may be needed). The spikes on this mat aren't really sharp, so they won't really pierce your cat if that's what your thinking. However, a cat's paws are extremely sensitive, so when your cat walks along such a surface, it will find it extremely irritating in most cases and will likely not want to jump along that surface. This is of course assuming that your keyboard rests along the top of your desk, and not along a sliding shelf or whatnot of your desk.

They ...
walk on keyboards.
cause loud noises when they see I'm on the phone.
sneak up behind me and put their claws in my back.
steal my covers.
lick the cream off my coffee.
make little nests in the clean laundry.
throw up half-digested mice in the kitchen.
... how could anyone not want to have cats?
