I decided last week that I was going to spend at least part of this adoption-free weekend working on my front room. I wanted to round up books because I knew there were books there my client would like to read - IF I could find them!
I was going to do it Saturday, but after staying up most of the night reading a new book, getting up to let the dog out, take Oliver to the vet and drop off the new book at my client's (and let her see Oliver.) Then driving out to the roomie's folks after getting an oil change all I wanted to do was take a nap.
So I slept most of the evening & was then up till around 5 a.m. but started sorting stuff during the night and filled up my trash can once.
Sunday I went thru my mail & decided that I needed to do that work. I took out the trash, and got a box for books. After about 10 minutes I decided I needed some more boxs, one for audio books and one for magazines. I filled up one box just of books and another with the magazines and audio disks & videos. I then did a bit of rearrangement. There has been a box of fanzines in my big chair for a YEAR, inspite of my asking the roomie to get it out. So I took that box and the full book box and put them next to each other. I then put the other full box on top and the partial one on them & then the tub with junk on top of them! Believe it or not, it looks better with the 4 boxs than it did before! LOL Does this give you an idea of what it looked like before.
In the process I found a cd holder the roomie has been looking for, a couple of books I think she'll like & a piece of mail.
I found not only the books I was looking for, but more to take to my client. I also found a bag of audio books to listen to in the car that I've been looking for!
I kept out about a half dozen books for me to read.
And, last, but certainly not least, threw away about 3 more cans of trash.
Now, they aren't the fullest cans because I'm not that strong, but I certainly put a lot out into the trash can!
And, guess what? I've barely made a DENT in the mess!

I actually only put a few hrs into what I did, its just that bad.
I just came in & discovered one of the boxs had fallen over, so I had to pick that up! In it I found a scrap of fabric, a book & 3 gift bags.
Well, last night when I was awake I had gathered a box of fabric & stuck all the gift bags I found in another box, so I guess I'm going to have to go find ANOTHER box to start, besides, I think I need to go thru that 2nd book box & reorganize it since I've been finding more stuff.

I need to do what you have been doing. Fibro seems to put a damper on my housecleaning.
I took a daytrip to see a friend's daughter play soccer. It was a 5 hour round trip ride. Riding for more than 30 minutes tends to put me in extreme pain for 2 or 3 days. I left at 8 AM and got home after 6 PM. I went to bed as soon as I got home, got back up about 9 PM and went back to bed at 11:00 PM. On Sunday I woke up with so much pain I could barely move. It was worth it to see the game, but I am tired of living in pain!

Sounds you like you had a Mess prior to starting- so even cleaning a bit has to be a BIG improvement- and must feel good! I gotcha about feeling bad though! : ( working with muscles you haven’t in a while- and doing too much-
Take it easy for the next few days! : )

I know how that feels. When I was cleaning out my mother's closet, that place was a nightmare, there was so much stuff in there than I knew what to do with. I was sore the next morning by the way.
