Love, in its truest sense, doesn't give you any pain. Only lovers do. As Kahlil Gibran have written - what gives you pain is also your source of joy. We are hurt by somebody because we have a "connection" with that person. If he is just a nobody, his actions will not in any way affect us. There will be no pain in a relationship if we are faithful and truthfull to each other. Once lies set in, it is bound to doom.

Love doesn't give pains, when:
there is mutual respect, understanding, selflessness, truthful, open communication. Pains starts when one partner lost respect and cheating/infedility comes in.
