Hi, you can watch TV first, then if you are already sleepy then you can start sleeping afterwards. You can also listen some melow musics in the radio or walkman. You can also read some books then if you're sleepy enough, you can start sleeping right away. You can also drink some milk because milk can help the person sleep or juice before going to bed. I prefer orange juice at night. It is very effective, believe me.
Have a nice day and God speed!

I find it hard to sleep not just sometimes but all of the time.
I suffer from what is called insomnia. I think that my problem is due to strees .
Maybe talk to your doctor about your conditions they can prescribe you some medicine. Most of these treatments are only taken for a short time. But I have found after you are done with your medicine your symtoms come right back.
Maybe try falling asleep with the tv on. Something boring so that is doesn't really capture attention.
Stay away from caffeine a few hours before bed.
Maybe try taking a long walk I think this one works best.
Good luck and if you find a cure for your problem let me know.

It is once in a while that I can't find sleep. In such cases, I usually resort to keeping myself busy, either watch soccer on pay-tv or do some work until, I feel like sleeping. I wouldn't say I suffer from insomnia. It is just a rare thing. Sometimes, I guess, it is due to some stress or mere apprehension about something.

I suffer from periodic bouts of insomnia and when I can't sleep I use lavender oil in a burner to help me relax. I also hae some camomile tea which can often help you to sleep.

yes i do find it hard to sleep sometimes because like you, i have a lot of things on my mind. i use a trick to make myself sleepy though it works most of the time.
i focus on a word and spell it out and repeat it over and over to myself this helps me fall asleep.

I always have a hard time falling asleep, and when i finally end up falling asleep i sleep way to late. It seems like i always have something on my mind, or many things racing through my head at the same time. I found out that the best way to fall asleep is with medication

Try to do something relaxing just before going to bed to give your body time to settle down. eg read a book or keep taking deep breaths in and out. That always helps me to relax before going to sleep.

Sometimes I do find it hard to sleep because my mind races a lot of the time. I think about a lot of different things that are going on in my life or what may happen next. I even tried sleeping pill, but they don't work.

LOL yea I have serious trouble sleeping and have for many many yrs..It was nothing for me to function daily on only 2-3 hrs of broken sleep a night....I'm on meds now but even with those I sometimes dont sleep...
Some things you could try would be having a warm bath or shower about 1/2 hr before bed, meditation or gentle yoga, changing up your night time routine..for example shutting off the tv/computer/etc and dimming the lights 1 hr before before bed....Also Aromatherapy is a possiblity as well...

Hi there! I think there are lots of factors that may affect sleep. One of them will be stress. Sometimes, when you feel really stressed out and worried about something, you'll find it really hard to sleep even though you're really sleepy. Another thing is that when you are taking some medications, they may affect your sleeping too. I think that you should try to be as relaxed as possible. Whenever I'm having a really hard time sleeping, a glass of warm milk and reading a book do the trick most of the time.

recently, i can't sleep over 12:00. i'm not excited and disappointed, but i will think lots of things, so i can't go to sleep in several hours.
i think it because i am worried about my online earning. when i go to bed, then i will think some topics, and responses. sometimes i will think that when can i receive the payout. so i think i need a rest from internet for few days, then i will be better.

Well... that happened to be twice... during the first time when it was very hard for me to sleep... i found out that it was because of depression... in order for me to correct my sleeping problem... i need to correct the thing that is making me depress...
Then the second time was when i was under a lot of stress... so... i tried to relax myself by going on a vacation... then not overdo thing at work...

Sometimes if you forced your self to self it getting harder to do so.
But me I spent so much time reading, playing games in my pc or playstaion so that my eyes will get tired and after a long reading I will felt a sleep. Sitting reading in my bed is the best for me to get easily for me to sleep.
I hoped it will work for you also.

yup, sometimes when it's time for me to go to bed, I won't feel sleepy at all. But I need to sleep because I have to get up early the next morning. I toss and turn but I can't sleep, it's so frustrating when that happens! Usually I'll think of something or pray to God and hoping that i'd doze off real soon.

Sometimes I do find it hard to fall asleep. It's worse when lots has gone on in my day that I need to think about or there's something going on the next day that I am thinking about. I find that the only way for me to sleep at these times it to do some meditation while laying in bed. Usually it helps me sleep within half an hour or so.

I haven't slept well since last year but I barely sleep at all now because im on Prozac and one of the side effects in insomnia. One thing that has always safely worked for me is Melatonin. It's a safe sleep aid that has no side effects, it can be found with the vitamins at most stores. It wont put you to sleep, just help. If you take one at night and then lay in bed with the lights off you will be out within ten minutes.
