they give me the package of unlimimted dowloading for three months and after that lomit of 2 gb if i will download more than this limit they will charge extar charge which i think is not a big problem
what type of connection do you have and what is the maerit that you find in yur connection

I have a DSL connection at my home as well as at office.. Infact, over here, u will find mostly dsl connections as they are more coveniant than the dial-up connections of the past.. I also have a limit to the amt. of download every mnth, 2.5 GB, but there is an extra facility which lets me access unlimited internet for free in the night from 2am to 8am in the morning.. So, whenevr I have to download in bulk, I do that during that time...

Me too. I used to have a dial-up connection to connect to the internet. I can still remember how slow it was to wait for the pages to load.. Ugghh.. But now that dsl rates are cheaper, we can already subscribe and avail .. We can now surf the internet faster .. and I really enjoy it. :) Best of luck to you!

I just had my DSL service installed last 3 weeks ago. Having a dsl connection has its advantage and disadvantage.
Advantage, its faster, you can do alot of things, since you can download and process a lot faster compare to dial up.
The disadvantage I see, is its cost. Its far more expensive than the regular dial up service. LoL.
If not for my home base job, I will not be subscribing to a dsl service. lol

Hi furqanoops. I have used a Dial-Up connection 5 years ago, lol... Dial-Up connections are now history, too expensive and very very slowly comparative to DSL. I have now a permanenet DSL connection, 1 mb for now, maybe I will upgrade it. ;)

I have being using ADSL internet connection for the past four months. I find that it is tremendously faster than the dial up connection I used before. The dial up is charged according to the time duration. You know the charge in this way is terribly high as it takes a long time to access what we need. Whereas by using ADSL we need only to pay a certain fixed flat rate monthly, and we could use it without any limitation of time.

I have DSL and I love it. I don't think I'd ever like to use dial up again. It's too slow!

I use a 3Mbps ADSL broadband connection to access the internet. This broadband speed is quite basic now in my country. I used to have a 512kbps connection, but it was automatically upgraded to 3Mbps by the telco several months ago, because broadband connection prices have come down in recent months. I am quite happy with this speed of access, because streaming videos are pretty smooth and downloads of large files are very fast.

At present, I am using just a Dial up connection at home. Anyway, I am out working the whole day and our office has a fast internet connection. It would be a waste of money paying that much for a DSL connection when I can only use it at night.
If I will have my own homebased MT job someday, that would be the time for me to have DSL connection at home.

I'm using DSL connection. I used to have a dial-up but that's so slow. If one is on the internet a lot, broadband or DSL can really save time and irritation (with dial-up sometimes not only time is lost but also patience) :)

During my earlier days in college i was using Dial up connection. it was difficult to connect, search, upload, or download files because it gets disconnected every now and then. I applied for DSL my PLDT during my 3rd year in college. It's makes your life easier, For the first few years the connection was fast, but as time passsed by many people subscribe to DSl and makes your connection a bit slower.
I don't know if there's a problem in the telephone line or it's just the bandwidth given.
It took me a week or two to finished downloading a 1gb file.( estimate of 4 to 5 hours everyday)

I am using unlimited DSL connection with 1MBps speed. It's enough for my daily blogging and surfing needs but I wish for more speed. Anyway I couldn't imagine people still using snail-paced dial-up connection. I used dial-up a few years ago and I never wish to use it ever again. How to watch videos on Youtube using dial-up? It will take ages

Of course, I started out with a dial up connection many years ago. Later, I got a two way satellite internet connection. This was much better than dial up as far as speed, but it was unreliable. I never understood why it would cease funtioning properly while I was still able to receive the satellite signal for my television. Because of this unreliability, I switched to a DSL connection as soon as it became available.
