Do you still remember what was your first car? Where you the one who chose for it or someone else? Where you the one who work hard to get it or it was given to you? What's with it that you love the most?
I will be happy to hear your story. Soon, i'll get my first car too after i'll get my Texas drivers license. I'm working on it right now.

Hey there Marie . . . my first car was a pinto. My parents gave it to me so I could go to school. First I was embarrassed to drive it till all my friends didn't mind getting a ride from me. No one else even had a car so I was pretty popular. But the first car I ever bought myself was a Ford Mustang. It was yellow with a black stripe. Very cool. I worked hard, finally saved up enough money, and Dad paid for the insurance. What a sweetheart.

After marriage for more than one year both my husband and I feel that it was a must to have own car. This is because we have to take my mother in law to have her regular medical check up. I still remember it was a second hand Toyota KE10. It was olive in color with the car plate AK8017. We paid RM4500 for it and RM10 is equivalent to $3.6US.

My first car is actually I cannot call a car. It is actually a jeep of stainless steel body assembled right in our backyard. "Owner Type", people called it and I wonder where this name came from. Back then 15 years ago this was a popular mode of transport here in the Philippines. It has its sides open to the element so the wind gets into you while driving. When it rains, we put on a canvass cover with a clear plastic window. It is my hard earned money when I decided to have it built. It has many downsides...when we go shopping we cannot leave the groceries inside the jeep because it has no compartment, so we have to carry the stuff until such time that everyone is ready to go home. It has no handbreak, not power steering, no gages working.... But this jeep served the family in exemplary manner. It's toyota 5k engine is really cool & quiet...I sold it to a friend when I bought my second car.
