Prayer Basket

This is mainly for those who believe in God & prayer. Not a debate on if you do or not. Now let me explain what my prayer basket is. I believe that we pray and God does answer, even if it is not the answer we want, He always answers. I also know that we, as humans, tend to pray but not give God complete control over what we ask of Him. So, I made a prayer basket and I wrote many prayer requests on different pieces of paper. Each morning, I get up, take one of those papers out of the basket without looking at it. I hold it up and say, This is Yours God...I do not know which one I picked out and only God needs to know that. That way, without even knowing what I have prayed for, I give Him complete control.

I believe in God and prayer. But I never thought of doing a prayer basket. Thats a neat idea. I pray in the mornings so I can get through my day. And I pray at night to thank him that I got through my day. God dose answer even thoe its not what we want. You can have the roughest day and maby you were suppose to go through it for a unknown lesson. I never question why, but it takes me a couple days to know why.

I think that we need to God trust and control with everything in life. I don't think we can handle anything if we don't give it up to Him. I like the idea of a prayer basket, it seems like that would make it easier to give anything and everything yo to him.

Ah yes, what a wonderful idea--a prayer basket. It's amazing how little control we give the Lord. We say it all the time but phew! I know that I keep trying to take it back. Such a relief it is when I can hand my life over to Him. I'll have to try this. Have a blessed Monday evening.
