So, parents, what's the agenda for halloween this year with your kids? Have they decided yet what they want to be? Are you buying or creating their costumes?
Halloween is my favorite holiday. It's one of the only holidays that remains where adults can be just plain silly for a little while.;) We go all out decorating the yard, with the goal of freaking out the neighbors kids, lol.
My kids are normally fairly easy to please, short of my oldest daughter. My 12 year old doesn't know what he wants to be yet, but he's going out with his friend, and they're thinking of going as Jay and Silent Bob .... this should be interesting, lol. My 6 year old is going as a puppy, my 10 year old as a skeleton and my 8 year old girl as a witch ... cute if not unoriginal, lol.
It's my 11 year old daughters costume that's killing me, lol. She's going as a goth bride ... or as she calls it, The Bride of Death. We're creating her costume from the ground up ... train, veil, boquet, the works. I've just gotten the train made and ready to attach to the dress, then I get to start in with black sequins. It's a good thing I started early! The picture is 'similar' to her idea, but hers is much more intricate. She has crinoline (sp) for her gown, a black rose bouquet, black veil with black roses on it .. should look interesting whenever I actually get it all put together.

That's the basic gist of the goth girl. My daughter went as a goth princess last year. Black dress, tiara, heavy black makeup, chains, skull earings and rings, chain bracelettes, black nail polish, blood red lipstick ... the goth getup is probably one of the easiest to put together, actually.
Might even be easier to just dip them in a vat of black paint, lol.:)
This is my girl last year ... the makeup was a hit for a goth girl, in case you need any ideas.:)
