DOWN's new record

I haven't actually bought the album. I'm not sure if I will get it. I thought "Down II" was fine, but it was never anything special to me. This girl at the pub the other night said she reckons "Down III" is the best album they've done. She's really into southern rock, though. I've listened to a few songs on their Myspace page, and it just sounds a bit boring to me. Like the songs are a bit drawn out. Pantera was so focused. Every riff and every part of the structure made sense and contributed to the intense sound of Pantera. I just don't think the song writing in Down can compete. Actually, based on the songs on Myspace, I can say that I'm not going to buy this record. But, do let me know if it grows on you!
