I am not a parent yet nor a soon-to-be parent. I am just posting this topic here because in years to come I will become a mother too. I also have a lot of friends who are pregnant right now and they are first-time mothers, so at least I can share whatever I'll get here to them. Well, I am also a product of a mother who consider breastfeeding the baby is very important for his growth and for him to have a much deeper affection to the mother/parents.
To everyone here, do you believe that breastfeeding a baby is indeed very important? Who among of the mothers here had breastfed or is breast feeding their babies right now? To the soon to be Moms and the rest of the women here, have you ever thought of breastfeeding your baby? How long did you breastfeed or intend to breastfeed your babies?
As for me, I do.

I did all four of my children and it is very important. The perfect food for someone whose immune system is not complete. None of my children had the colds/ear infections that other children had, they were very healthy babies.:)
Besides having my sister as support, this site also helped me through some tough times. http://www.llli.org/

Yes indeed it is so important for childs health and it lasts till the last day of his life, now the researchers and doctors strictly advice mothers to feed there children atleast for a year but 2 years is the best time for child to get enough nurishment for long lasting health ............

My youngest son has been breatfed since birth-10 1/2 months so far. He is the healthiest baby I've ever had. His size is great...especially since he was smallish at birth. He has never been sick. And he is already strong enough to be close to walking.
I think it's the best for babies but I also know that it isn't always an option and that's alright too.
