Did you ever come across something hid away in a wall, floor board or somewhere that you never knew or wouldve found if you had not been looking for or fixing something? What was it?Was it very old??We broke a wall one time in our old home and found some childrens drawings that had been closed up when the carpenters had built a new part on the basement bedroom.I still have them and would like to give to the people that lived here before us,lol.:)

hello, peanutjar. I have not found anything hidden in my home I never thought was there. But I have found things surprised me more. My best friend went to Beijing nearly one month ago. The first night she was not with me, I thumbed my notepad suddenly I found the words she had written days ago on her birthday. My eyes brimed with the warm tears... Days later, when I referred to another book of mine, I found a dry flower sticked on the head page near my name and with her name beside...

This must happen all the time, I know not long before my father passed away he said something about a little stash that he had in his shed not much just a couple of hundred dollars what he called his emergency money, we told him he should cinfide in someone, well just as well as he did because we would never have thought to look where he had it hidden. So I bet a lot of people put things in weird places and never tell anyone. A friend of mine found a lot of very very old photos once in an old box in the house she bought, she tracked down the former owners and they just said chuck em out we don't want them, sad...

i have heard some interesting stories to that end...people finding things in the walls or whatever...one person found a ton of really old movie posters (the people that lived there owned a theatre and got new posters every week...they used the posters as insulation!) they were movie posters from the 20's and 30's and brought the current owners a lot of money!

My uncle had bought a very out house a while back. I help him fix it up a little, and when we were tearing down a wall in one of the rooms we found a fireplace that we never knew was there.

Many years ago when I had to move flats, I turned my bed and from the underside fell a gold ring I had lost years before! I still have that ring and have lost it on two other occasions, but I treasure it, not only because it is made of gold, but because it is a ring I got when I graduated from high school! It not only reminds me of my school days, but also of my homecountry Peru and those years a long time ago! The ring has the school emblem on it and one can still see the little llama on the right hand corner of it!

Yes actually, when I was a kid I found a deck of cards hidden in the bathroom floor. I remember there was a tile in the floor that was broken. I started to pick it apart and found the pieces came up quit easily. I then would put it back in place like a puzzle. I think it was the second time I decided to take this tile apart that I thought I notice something. I reached into the floor space and pulled out a deck of cards. It isn't until now as I write this that i wonder. Was that deck of cards hiding in the floor boards because someone who lived in that house maybe a few years before us were not allowed to play cards. Some believed cards were from the devil back then! Do you think that could be the reason? The era would be right for that kind of thinking.

I found some money (1,000 pesos) in one of my old wallets. I wasn't looking for it...I was looking for a yard of lace in my drawer and found this old wallet instead. When I looked inside there are 2 500 peso bills in it. At first, I thought it was my Aunts money. So I asked her, but she told me that it was not hers. We are only 2 occupying the room, so I think I'm so blessed to have kept that money and forgot about it. In the Philippines, 1,000pesos is a lot already. :)

Years ago when I was 15 (around 1972)I found something in the wall of my bedroom closet. When my parents first moved to the home it was an older home. I don't know if they had done some work to the closet that they never finished. But one side did not have the wall. There was some type of paper there. Of course me and my sister tore it to see what we could find. When we tore it you could reach down under the floor. And we pulled up four pairs of old women shoes. They looked like they were styles from the 50's.
