i had to go to the emergency room over memorial day weekend bc i had recently found out i was pregnant and began bleeding so i was immediately concerned. well when i got to the hospital they treated me like i was 13 years old again. telling me i was not allowed to see my medical chart i could not see my test results or view any anything that they had done to me. then they told me i had a miscarriage but am now six months pregnant. i do not know exactly what kind of quack place they are running but doctors dont even know how to read results? needless to say i was very upset and then seen my doctor a few days later to find out thta me and baby were fine and he recommended i consult an attorney to see what kind of actions could be taken bc they are obligated to show me anyhting i ask to see about myself. what kind of opinions do we have out there?

That is horrible, I am sure that you should have been able to view your chart. I can see if it was someone else that wanted to look at it because of all the privacy laws and stuff. I would look into finding out what was going on that weekend in the hospital and see if there is anything your doctor could help with.

Whoa, that musta been horrible for you!!! That is just outrageous that they would treat you like that. I'd definitely talk to the administration and see what the deal is - they should know when their staff is being incompetent. I am really against all the crappy lawsuits though and hope you avoid that. All that's going to do is increas hospital fees and insurance costs... When in the end, it was probably just something that needs to be brought to the attention of the higher-ups. I know that people are going to say things like "Well, do we wait until they kill someone with their incompetence?" And I would hate to see that happen, but I just don't think you circumstances would be best served by starting a lawsuit against the whole hospital....
