Wal-Mart or Target?

For those of you who shop at these stores which do you prefer and why?
I prefer Target. I used to go to Wal-Mart all the time but the stories I have read about how they treat their employees and that they recommend they apply for government medical assistance because they will "never be able to afford the health insurance Wal-Mart offers.
Which store do you prefer and why?

Walmart has lower prices and is closer for me. Target does have better quality in some things, so if there is not a big price difference, I will sometimes go to Target. Also, sometimes Target will have a sale and have something at a lower price and I will go there then.

Target does have better quality across the board I believe and on some things a much better selection.

There's not much of a choice for me. There are 3 Wal-mart stores closer than the nearest Target. I know about all the problems with Walmart and I'm sorry for keeping them in business in a way BUT I have to watch out for my own budget also. The whole point of going to stores like that is to save some money, Any savings and then some would be spent on the extra gas to drive to the Target.

You are right that the point is to save money and if you are going to spend more to get to another store that really does not make sense.
Not to meantion the fact that these types of store really are the only option these days. Going to the local specialty store cost way too much and that's if there even is a specialty store anymore.

We don't have Target here in my city. There are Wal-mart/Sam's Club, Carriefour, Metro, etc. Among them I like Wal-Mart most. I don't know exactly why, maybe
partly because of its rank as #1 among the world'retailers, besides it's convenient to go shopping there because it's the cloest one to my community.

Convienance is a big thing and the prices are great as well. If we did not have a Target I would still go to Wal-Mart
