Well, office politics is apparent but I just want to know if the same is also true in the place where you are working? If it exist, then do you get involve in it or avoid getting involved in it?
Personally, I do not want to get involved in office politics because sometimes it can also get messy and I don't want to be distracted from work. I also think that it is not very healthy in any working environment although it may have advantages.
So what about you?

Politics is a social game and man is a social animal. How can a person be that is not involved in any politics. In office politics are routine. One should keep himself in such position that he gets no big losses or even large gains from politics. Yes he be in balance to move on...

Office politics is common. It may or may not work for your advantage depnding on who you are favoring. I think the best thing to do is to avoid them and just do your job.

politics in the office can be very disheartening to those out on the manufacturing floor.there are to many distractions and micro management issues being brought to the production employee to solve and they get the blame for any managment messup.when the management should be working to better the job at hand, many times they are weakening it by trying to misuse whatever authority they believe they may have.the key to avoiding office politics is to remember each day you are there for the customer, and not for a popularity contest.and only agree to what you believe to be right, don't follow the managment crowd unless you are actually part of management,or they will end up blaming you for there messups.if there is something that management is doing or has done to make your life a living abyss listen to what they say, but sort it out with other co-workers and just agree to disagree with them, and then keep doing what you were doing before they so rudely innterrupted you into paddeling the boat 1 more different way.good luck, and don't let management be a bully to you.

Hi,
Politics in office is there I hope there if dicussion is in better way those ideas and views can be exchnaged and if possible a new things can be overlooked about the policital leaders. Those unknown situations can be shared. If that on a bad way with lots of negative aspects hope it is to be limited.

I am a victim of so many office politics and malicious intrigues as well when i was still working in the office. But I was able to overcame it all. My principle the was never mind it all, because if you are damn good, no one can put you down. I am right, because even how grave the politics then, I was able to reached the highest preomotion I deserve. I resigned as a Sales Consultant.
