Have you ever tried taking a bath with baking soda? I have tried it and my wife told me that blindfolded, she cannot anymore trace my whereabouts inside our house as she cannot smell my body odor anymore. Ha-ha, funny, right? But its true and rather quite effective in fighting our body odor. Have you tried it?

Baking soda rocks! It can do anything! I used to brush my teeth with it long before they had baking soda toothpaste and my mother used it as a dusting powder as well as the usual fridge/freezer odor absorber. My mother always said, if we are concerned with odors to take a bath in baking soda or dust some on. She even used it as deodorant. It works! I never bathed with it because I have bath bombs, bubbles, and fizzies but many contain some baking soda. You are right. It really does absorb body odor and does it naturally and harmlessly.

Yup, it is indeed effective. At first I have had some reservation in bathing with this baking soda which my wife told me about. But when she told me that she will **** **** if I will bath using the baking soda, I immediately took a bath and used it.

I have heard that baking soda has a lot of benefits, but I had never heard of that one before. I read in a book of home remedies that tomato juice works also. It is suppose to even get rid of skunk odor.

Rozie37, my friend. I haven't heard about tomato juice. But baking soda did prove effective in eliminating my body odor. Now, every time I sweat a lot like working in the garage, or after a game of basketball, I would take a bath with a light sprinkle of baking soda. Thanks for coming over, Rozie.

May be washing soda cleans better than baking soda. Only thing is that, the colour of your body may change and your wife cannot identify you as well.

Yes, it is very relaxing, too! Baking soda is excellent for getting rid of dirt and odors in all sorts of applications. The only thing to note, though, is that it will take the moisture out of your skin and hair, so it is good to rinse well and use a natural moisturizer of some sort afterwards, such as Shea Butter, Coconut Oil, Jojoba, or whatever. Smart move, molusk. Thanks much for this reminder~!

drannhh, my friend. Your visit is always a pleasure. Thank you for the added info. For moisturizer, I think I'll have a go for Virgin Coconut Oil.

nope, but thats a cool thing to share molusk. you can help a lot of people by sharing that. so what do you actually do with the baking soda? do you mix it with water or you put it at your body as soon as you finish taking a bath?

Oooopps...please be careful not to confuse baking soda from baking powder, just like me. At first, I did thought that baking soda and baking powder are two of the same kind. Thank goodness I was able to learn that baking powder is a composition of baking soda, starch and cream. On the other hand, baking soda is purely baking soda which is a chemical compound called sodium bicarbonate.
