Do you just slap your favourite fillings between a couple of pieces of bread and call it done? Or are you methodical, cutting your fillings neatly, placing them on the bread in a certain order? What is your order? Do you like them with heaps of stuff, or just one or two fillings? My wife thinks I'm a little weird cos I like to make mine in a certain way. I think maybe she is right, lol! How about you?

Well, I would not say that you are weird but maybe more particular how you make your sandwiches. I'm not that methodical and anyway, my sandwiches are very simple. It 's normally peanut butter, canned tuna, omelette or pork floss as the filling.

You are kind in saying I am not weird, although some would dispute that, lol! I think what you say about the type of sandwich may have some effect on how they are made. I know that if I have only one or two fillings, I'm not too particular in how they go together.

I don't eat that many kinds of sandwiches, but I guess I do sort of have a method of making them. lol When I make peanut butter and jelly, I always lightly toast the bread first, and then I cut off the crust and put just a little bit of peanut butter and jelly on each slice and then put them together. The other thing I like to make is grilled cheese, and for those I usually sprinkle a little bit of seasoning salt on the skillet first, and then I put the two slices of bread next to each other on the skillet with a slice of cheese on each. I just know it's ready when I see the cheese starting to melt. It seems much quicker that way since both slices get toasted at the same time and I don't have to keep flipping the sandwich. :)

I usually make sandwiches at about 6 am half asleep so I just pretty much throw it together and hope it was done right. One morning my kids ended up with one having all peanut butter sandwich and one having all jelly sandwich because I put them together wrong. I thought it was pretty funny, they were less amused.

Well I say that I'm more methodical, but at 6 in the morning, I'd definitely just be throwing them together too, lol! So which kid was happier, the one with all jelly or the one with peanut butter? What's wrong with them, I think that's pretty amusing too, lol!

hi muscare,
Sandwich making is an art to some people. Different breads with different fillings make for tasty sandwiches.
My preference is whole wheat bread, mustard, oven roasted turkey, sliced thin, onion, sliced thin, and a slice of swiss or white cheddar cheese. The order varies each time I make this sandwich, but as long as I enjoy the sandwich, that's what really matters!
Happy posting..

That sounds like a nice sandwich, especially the turkey. I usually keep the same order though, especially the pickled onions on the tomato, as the flavours merge to make it tastier. I'm not adding any more, I'm starting to sound obsessive, lol!
